P180 always came with Auto start as standard equipment
I think all the newer pulsars(with alloys ) have auto start as standard equipment.

Rgading the mileage
P180 is between 40-44 and p150 is between 45-50 in city riding

For the tires, you could go for Pirelli 110/90 for the rear or even a 120/80 Pirelli sport demon if you can get that.

But wont these tyres reduce the pickup?? Top speed seems to have dropped after putting K&N... But haven't yet shown the bike the full.... Haven't yet checked its top speed yet..

Hence I suggest to go with 110/90 or 120/80. The contact patch is going to increase by a few milimeters, that will not affect the pick-up, inturn it will improve the traction and reduce wheelspin. The only area that would take a beating would be the FE and that's negligible.

hey i heard you saying that your FE has lowered after installing the K&N well that may also be because of the way you ride...i mean excessive pulling in a given gear...and so..that results in a lesser average...well the K&N(UTSC) shows a marginal increase in average...cheers...!

If u install K&N without any mods in the fuel mixture, u'll get more mileage i guess, because the air entering the filter is very large and a high amount of combustion will take place..So Pilrrelli sports demon tyres will do for my bike .. thanks guys..Is this tyre heavier than the stock tyre in 180 , i mean the mrf zapper??

Regarding the weight of the tyre, yes it would probably be slightly heavier that the stock tyre as its got more rubber, but, the overall weight would be less,as sportdemon is a tubeless tyre.

sportdemon 120/80 is heaviest tyre. even than the 140/70 sibling... go weigh it. i was shocked myself.

the michelin m45 is a good tyre. 110/90 the lightest of all. no drop in average of pickup... and good grip. will get for 3100 or so.

and as far as performance is concerned. dont stress your 180.. its already a stressed member at high speeds. pickup will increase by k&n if you change the jet as well.

amit.

Hey Kphilips,
I took him to 115kph the other day but i guess he'l even go further more.. I just din't feel that the road was safe enough to try it.. Road visibility due to high beam of trucks and buses was poor, so din't take the risk.. But he did 115..
Technocrat was saying about it doing 126 or 129kph.. May be he'l have something to say..

hi phillip,
if you want serious power, port the engine (i wouldn't suggest shaving the head as even the old 180 runs a high compression ratio), and go for camshaft profiling. all this might set you back by about 8000 bucks. but since we are on this topic, try to fit the dts-i's swingarm too for enhanced stability. as for the tyres, do not go in for upsizes more than 120/70, as the increased traction will reduce the top end and FE significantly.also, try sprocketing as an option( reduction in final drive by reducing the teeth in rear sprocket by 1-2 teeth: stock is 42 teeth, try getting one of 40;not lesser).
