Windiesel,

As a person who had owned both the bikes together(both bought new from showroom) at one point of time, I fully endorse your views on it.

I bought Y 350 after owning RD 350 for about 4 years, as a second bike as I thought it to be of more simple mechanisms, and hoping that it would have the "Yezdi" reliability to it. Also I thought at that time that the "Yezdi" brand would put more mechanics at ease to work on it (especially in the Indian moffusil areas). That didn't turn out to be the case.

So got rid of it after about 3 years and stuck with my RD 350, which is still beautiful as she was 24 years ago.

Best Regards & Drive/Ride safe

Re: The Yezdi 350 Thread

Comparison between the Y350 and the RD350 is like comparing LataMangeshkar and M.S.Subbalakshmi.

No Comparison, both are good in their own way.

Re: The Yezdi 350 Thread

Yezdi 350's are available in Bangalore. But way too costly. You will end up shelling out a lakh for a running bike and more than a lakh and a half for a restored bike.

Any day is good to have a yezdi with you if you can afford to maintain it(not just money but also the time) .

Re: The Yezdi 350 Thread

Oh yes there are bikes available in Bangalore. There are also guys who have sealed, unopened, unstarted engine blocks. These were picked from the factory when they shut down. They seat these on Roadking chassis' or on Jawa chassis.
