Got a call from Royal Enfield today.

They are offering selected customers (Mostly who did online enquiry or had shown interest earlier) booking even before the launch .i.e before 3rd November.

He didnt confirm the price but said it will be in the range of 1.5 but he did not commit any delivery date. I am yet to get back to him

Update(although just confirming what other's have said so far)- Classic will be launched in two variants:

500 with EFi, price in the range of 1.3 - 1.5L but most probably it's going to be 1.35L. The green or what ever colour its called will only be available in 500 classic version.

350 with carb, price range of 80-90k. Colour options are black, red and silver.

Booth will come with independent two seats. In Chandigarh the launch date is 10 November.

As per request of the dealer, I can not disclose his name. He is into business for last 52 years so I would trust him so far.

Went there to inquire about the electra as the other dealer did not had the fresh stock. Saw the two classic's there. 500 had smaller tyres compared to 350 but the dealer says that 500 will come with bigger tyres. There were there because the company is getting them passed by RTO's in every city. They were not for test drive but seeing my interest he offered me the test drive. I had the biggest grin on my face ever. I booked it there and then. He has promised me that he will launch the bike with my first delivery in Chd. As right now it's the first booking he has made so it's gona be the first classic 350 in Chandigarh.

Fingers crossed for the delivery date. Wish me luck peeps.

Also took the picture of the bike I took out for test drive. There was no kick present and it had the standard silencer and not much difference in exhaust note compared to CI bullet. The CI engine and AVL engine bikes will be stopped from April 2010

Man!!! She looks gorgeous.

Lucky Randhawa, I am happy you got a test ride and also Congratulations on the booking.

Looking forward eagerly to hear about the actual pricing. Because knowing RE and considering their pricing with existing models I really doubt if even the Classic 350 will be anywhere below 1L.

Well, will let the time do the talking now.

Cool. wot tyres are those? i suspect its different from wot we saw on the Classic500. The front tyre seems like a normal ribbed one. is it?

Congrats bro! Super excited. I have to get one.

How did the 350 feel in terms of power?

How will it perform on the highway?

PS:Lemme know if you ever hit Delhi on the RE.

Congrats Randhawa, waiting for your first ride report. I had no patience to wait till Nov 4 (and the long waiting period after the booking) so brought my TBTS on Oct 20, but no regrets enjoying it to the fullest. But i agree by looks , the classic 350 is miles ahead of TBTS, by engine its all the same(to my understanding), both UCE carb.
