Aren't dragsters supposed to be light?. I do see the point that the additional wheel tends to keep the nose down, but isn't that why we have stabilizers?. Just a thought.

Next photo this guy cannot wait for his son to return his Harley and goes ahead with his younger sons bike to his office. Then there is this guy with a Chatak but wants a R 15 badly.

Do we have an option to "CONDOR a Post" on this thread also?

Cheers!

Re: Weird, Wacky & Dangerous Motorcycle Modifications!

Did anyone notice the latest two-wheeler being developed and tested by Bajaj-TI cycles and being tested on roads of Goa. It won't need road-tax, licence, registration and seems perfect for teenagers who are seen testing. Similar to Bajaj Sunny the petrol tank is made of plastic and would not cost a penny to replace and can be refilled anytime. Be it Kinley, Bisleri, Bailey, etc, though the OEM supplier is taan (a local Goan brand) as seen in pic.

Re: Weird, Wacky & Dangerous Motorcycle Modifications!

This bike was seen at a Scottsdale car show in Scottsdale, Arizona.

It is turbine powered using a Pratt & Whitney helicopter engine.

The engine is a two spool design which uses a compressor/turbine wheel to create the exhaust gas.
The gas is fed into the second turbine which supplies the power to the rear wheel.

With the bike stopped, the gas generator continues to run but the power turbine is not rotating.
With the brakes released the power turbine begins to turn and away it goes.
There is no need for a transmission and you can see the direct drive from the power turbine output shaft going to the rear wheel.

There are two huge exhaust pipes, one on each side.

The high pitched whine of a gas turbine is very obvious when it is running and the smell of burning Jet Fuel blankets the area when he pulls in to park.

Re: Weird, Wacky & Dangerous Motorcycle Modifications!

I know but I figured that one of these is about as weird, whacky & Dangerous as it gets.

I consider it to be rather rare too.
In my lifetime I've seen more H.R.D. Vincent Black Shadow's than y2k's.
I guess the price tag of $185,000.00 (9,250,000 rupees) for a y2k scares off most people.
