jk bhai, here you go, a few more from my side!
The one with the awesome skull paint job is from mumbai indiethumpers.
The next one is a wheelie- ridermania style.
and the last one is a cafe racer belonging to prasanth from rtmc, bangalore.
There were about 600 bikes it seems.

RM was a great experience to me.
Understood how rides along with passionate riders can create a feeling of oneness irrespective of age, caste or creed. Superb feeling. Still the hangover of the entire episode especially the view of 500+ bullets together in a single place is not gone.
The tech mod competition was something of the kind of an eyeopener to novices like me, of the umpteen possibilities one has, in tinkering with bullets performance to make it even more than a bull.

Long live the bullet brotherhood.
Here are snaps of our rides clicked near the venue.

I thought it was going to be in January 2010. This means we'll have TWO Rider Manias in 2009 -- one in January and another in November. Bloody confusing, what?

Yes, Edsel Rulez! It is quite confusing. Seems like the RE guys wanted to take Ridermania into their own hands rather than the various clubs hosting it every year. I was at Ooty in Jam and have been hearing next one would be in Jan 2010 in Mumbai(?).

Yeah, that seems to explain it. I attended only one RM (the first one in Goa in 2003), and support from RE at that time was next to none. Now that the event has picked up and offers commercial possibilities, the blokes want to move in and take over the show. Rider Mania would be a good opportunity to showcase the upcoming Classic 500, so they're playing their cards right! I feel the event has been advanced to November 2009 because the Classic is all ready for launch in India -- they can't wait till the new year.

No club picked up RM10 during the discussions held during RM09. Since no one came forward Indiethumpers said they can if no one else can do it.

RE wanted to host the 09 RM but clubs didn't oblige quite naturally. So i guess RE is hosting 09 RM once again and this time on their own. So will there be an RM10? Prolly Yes and will be hosted by RE, is my guess.

Yes Sankar, I do remember that the meeting to decide who would host the next '10 RM was inconclusive. But I have been hearing for a while that, as you said, Indiethumpers would host it at Mumbai/silvassa(?).
So RE is taking over the huge success that RM is and like Edsel said, probably to promote the Classic 500 and/or other new UCE based products.
I wonder what changes its gonna bring to RM.

Someone has started a group on Facebook called "Bikers against Royal Enfield trying to snatch Rider Mania from community". That should give a hint as to which way the wind is blowing.
