Which was your first bike?

Just out of curiousity. I don't own a bike, but a good friend of mine switched from a Hero Honda CBZ to a CBR954 (quite a jump!) So what about you guys? Bring back the good old days.

My first bike was a handed down TVS 50 back in 1991. Fill 20 rupees worth of petrol and it would last the whole day. :-)

My first bike, the one my dad got for: me, myself, and only me was; and is a Suzuki Samurai August 1997 when I was 21.
Took it to Mysore on the fourth day and then to Jog falls on the 9th day after which I modded it. After 5 years of proper usage (numerous trips), she has retired and sits quietly in the garage, i clean her once a week and kick start her.

Rajdoot for a little while, until my dad saw my erratic driving style and banned me from from riding ever again. This is like 12-13 years ago!

Forced my parents to buy me a CBZ (black) when i was in school.
Used to wash/polish it myself.
Then one day i had a small accident and the next day the bike was gone.!

You must have roamed around quite a lot for that.

My grand dad left me a princely sum of 8k & my father refused to permit me to buy the Yezdi, so went out & got the Bajaj Super in defiance.
Then, Yezdi Classic, 1981 purchased with my own blood & sweat in 1995, held on to it until 2008. Never bought another bike again until 2 months back when i got another Yezdi CL-II, 1989.

1994 - HERO RANGER

the Motor - bikes start from here

1997 - SUZUKI SAMURAI

2002 - RX 100 ( 2nd hand )

2003 - RD350 ( dont know which hand ! )

Now when i saw the pictures of the ENFIELD 350AVL/350 STD - I am tempted to indulge but...

Yamaha RX135, unless the forum considers Hero Puch to be a bike.

Agreed the HP could do wheelies pretty well, but was pretty pathetic otherwise: I had a nasty encounter with rear-brake rod getting dis-engaged in an emergency braking situation (I'm glad to be alive!).

Add to that a bent connecting rod within 4-5K Kms and I've concluded that it was a piece of junk.
