Bajaj Auto launches XCD 135 DTS-Si bike

In a bid to increase its market share to 35 per cent from the current 20 per cent in Tamil Nadu, Bajaj Bike India has launched its new bajaj bike named XCD 135 DTS-Si.

Speaking at the launch, Regional Manager (Tamil Nadu & Puducherry), S. Manoj Kumar, said in the 135 cc to 150 cc segment the company’s current market share in the State is 5 per cent.

In addition to XCD 135, the company is also planning to introduce two more bikes in April and July, which will together help notch 35 per cent market share target in less than a year.

The company hopes to sell 4,000 units of the new bike in the remaining two months of this fiscal. IT is to be mentioned here that Market share for the company dropped primarily due to economic slowdown and poor availability of finance.

New Bajaj bike price is not available yet. And as a part of its revival programme, the company is aggressively promoting its finance arm Bajaj Auto Finance Ltd.
