Arun try with Siyal Autos at Cox town for these parts, not all OEM but you'll get close to their looks.
Rajdoot indicators are damn costly get Stanley from eBay far better than Rajdoot ones costs around 6-8 K for set of four.
Stanley or Koito headlight units are quite costly i paid 4.5K for Koito shield beam, try locally remade rear dome and similer reflectors.
Pricol meters are not available pay whatever the owner is asking for 2nd hand decent piece.

Re: Yamaha to sell spare parts for RX100 and RD350

with this the 'opportunist' RD owners who were selling their bikes for 1 lac+ will increase the offering price by a lac more.

The news floating around is, the authorised dealers will start taking orders for RX100 bore kits very shortly. Let's wait for more information. AFIK, yet to hear news about RD parts availability from Yamaha.

Re: Yamaha to sell spare parts for RX100 and RD350

My cousin works in Yamaha and he told me almost 2 years back that its all rumours nothing is going to happen and Yamaha is not expecting any big profit even if they launch spares for their 2 stroke bikes, they are just going to supply spares for 10 years after they stopped the 2 stroke bikes production as per the norms, which is almost getting over now. They are concentrating their focus more on planting them self firmly in mass Indian bikes scene.
Karizma9292 even i have got the news about those kits from my home town and people said the quality is not up-to the mark is it true?
Also just wanted to confirm whether its made by Yamaha or their supplier company known as JAY?

Good news to the 2 stroke enthusiasts. Is it going to be just RX100 bore kits for now?

I thought the RX100 bore kits are yet to available across the counter, are they already sold in your home town under price tag of 8200/-?

Yamaha has numerous suppliers for the manufacturing of engine components. I doubt YAMAHA ever had their own manufacturing unit of bore kits. It was always been some selected manufacturer supplied to Yamaha with required specifications and quality control. So, if there is a change in the supplier, then we need wait and watch for people to comment after they plonked on their bike.

for 135's the only options is get the OE barell from an "opportunist" at a very high price or get the Taiwan/China/Indonesian barells and run suitable jetting

News Flash: Rx100 Block Pistons At Yamaha Factory Shop!!!

RX riders rejoice!!!!!

The factory shop at Malad West Mumbai has just informed me this afternoon that they have received 2 ORIGINAL RX100 blocks and many more are on their way soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

The MRP is 8,200 (Little expensive) but better than the 6.5k crap from malaysia (or may be karol bagh)...

There are 2 set available. Since I do not currently own an rx100 I will let u plunder it!!!

Let me know via PM and I will give u my details and I can pick them up for u!!!

Aaaaahhh now only if they do this for the 5-speed and the RD350 (factory shop guys say no such luck).

Regards,

Alok B

Re: Yamaha to sell spare parts for RX100 and RD350

Any idea what are Yamaha's real intentions by doing this? Why would they bring in parts of a model that was discontinued ages ago? Agreed, there is a huge fan following for the RX 100 and Yamaha says they want to build confidence among the people, but don't we already have confidence in Yamaha? After all, its Business and Yamaha would not do anything unless it saw profitability in it, right?

Now we all know, spare parts are to be sold for at-least 10 or so years from the time of decommission. Is this a way to clear old stock accumulated in the supplier's warehouse?

You just answered you own question. Are you suggesting they shoudn't?

Let me add another secondary reason....to make money !! Theres a huge margin on spares...win-win if you ask me.

Yamaha still have/had these barells cause the RX100 was selling in may markets till last year, so they will still have so much stock in some markets. The catch with RX100 is that it is the same bike running all over the world (remember Escorts advt AUTHENTIC RX100).But that is not the case with RX135 or RXZ which was developed specially for India as per the emission norm.s and this India specific models were never sold elsewhere . That may the problem for them to bring in RX135 spares unless Yamaha decide to go back to thier old vendor again which i doubt they will do. let us hope for the best
