Had a closer look and found that BMW had indeed positioned 2 torq screws under the front windshield which seemed a very apt location to install the front HSRP. Tested the plate at that location and it does not interfere with the up and down movement of the windshield too in any way. So have stuck the front HSRP with 3M high strength double sided tape after cleaning the plastic surface with IPA. Now it seems almost permanently bonded and will take a great effort to budge it out. Now whether or not these screws were indeed for the front HSRP is another matter all together. Here are some quick views -

Seems that issue has been resolved for now.
