Adding one of completed proto. 90deg phase crank gives uneven exhaust note & replica shogun muffler assy cuts much sound wrf stock samurai's. Don't know when would i be able to make a proper video of it running on road or at least that of an engine pulse tacho clipped on. I tried capturing an on-road audio track with an old cellphone taped to rear fender but it got too noisy.

bye.,

zundapp twin

Found this Twin cyl topic on Zundapp forum. Its a good ref with detail pics but sadly needs a login to see and its in dutch. still a worthy effort for those seriously interested. And yes the machine seen here is superbly finished.

Re: The Double Barrel of Hope : AX-200 twin

Long time Rennjit! Hows the bike running ? I love the twin layout.. reminds me of 80's Suzuki GTs.. have you thought of trying a balance tube between carb manifolds? [Like they have on the RDs] ? For this you can simply use two Supra powerbox manifolds and connect them with a hose.

Re: The Double Barrel of Hope : AX-200 twin

hi AdityaJayaram, I have the engine but it is lying split up now. The bike's registration expired & to present it to Rto, i had to put it back to normal form. Next time, may be couple of years later for just the fun of doing it & as i have so much parts lying around, i'd do a narrow welded case engine & put it in an older broader chassis than the skinny suzuki. It'd look weird

Supra barrels would be much more interesting than samurai's. pl do share it if you intend to proceed.

Re: The Double Barrel of Hope : AX-200 twin

Hi Renjith, sorry about this late post i had'nt logged back in to check, I hope you are well

I still have my samurai, (expired registration ) its running a supra block with a .5 shogun piston i would still love to do this if you're keen . I'm in bangalore. Do pm me you're number and we can get in touch. i have a spare stock supra block as well.

I can probably source all the parts for this project from the scrap yard or some contacts of mine

Cheers,
Aditya
