I have a weird issue with my 2003 model tBird.

Need some pointers before I get to my mechanic.

The steering is loose.
Its not like it turns on its own or anything. I can take my hands off and keep riding in a straight line. But when I turn, there is not much resistance on offer.
So any cornering has to be done quite easy and I def don't want to brake when turning.
There is absolutely no resistance to turning.

I started feeling this issue, got it confirmed by a couple of other riders as well.

There can be possibly few issues

i. Check front tyre air pressure, low pressure will make this happen.

1. Is any of your front shock absorbers leaking"?

2. keep the vehicle stationary & sit in riding position, try to oscillate your vehicle holding the handle as you check petrol. Does you handle move seperately then your buke, can be a issue with tyre bearing or front fork/ handle bearing.

answer inline in bold.

The air pressure is the same as it always has been.
23 front - 32 rear
same bunk for the past 2 years now.

the left an has an oil sweat stain.
Doubt if its low on oil.
Will anyway get it drained and refilled at scheduled service this weekend.

No it does not move on its own.

I believe the shock absorber repair would resolve the issue.

But the shocks work fine.
I did the rocking test.
Very little speed. Jam the disc.
Rock the bike like a boat.

She does it just she always has done.

any other things I need to check.

Solved. :)
