TVS Motor, the flagship company of the $4-billion TVS Group, will launch its premium 160cc bike Apache RTR in the US this year. If TVS Motors enters the US, it will be the second indigenous company to foray into that market, the first being Royal Enfield bike.
According to an auto industry executive, TVS has held negotiations with Classic Motorworks, an importer and distributor of two-wheeler in the US, which already distributes Royal Enfield Motorcycle — Bullet, Classic and Croma — brands in the US.

Hmm with the launch of the 180 I doubt if they would go there with the 160 now.

May be because, they have not deployed the FI on the 180, yet.
BTW, the topic has an existing thread
here.
Awe excellent! So whats keeping HH and BAL ?
@safari: Yeah I didn't think of FI, yes probably that's the reason for launching the 160 there instead of the 180.
Prince- Honda already has presence there & i dont think they would be keen on the small bike segment there. Bajaj sells Pulsar's across the globe in various countries like Dubai & Latin America. Btw the CBZ was also once sold in Dubai not sure of now.
These bikes are mostly used by Pizza/Courier delivery guys
