Ok. Slight Update on the Dio. Got a lighter Exhaust cowl for it. It was around 500 gms lighter than the original one. And I Painted it red and it was a Bolt on. (incase one is wondering what the hell I am talking about, Its the plate on the muffler)

A couple of other things have been planned, but First and foremost, It is getting a Paintjob.

The Main Aim to Buy this, Was to make it unique. To make it custom. Anyways, As of now, I have this in mind.

The Font panel and the panel on the handle bar, which is currently yellow, will be Green White and Red. Italian Flag basically, And everything else will be Black. I am also looking at doing some kind of indirect lighting for the headlight. I havent decided on that yet. Lets see how it goes. I really need some custom paintjob ideas though, So if anyone could gimme some other ideas, It will be appreciated.

Xmod, your inputs will be highly regarded.

Another thing i want to do, Is drill small holes on the headlights and fill it up with LEDs. Like 25-30 LEDs. All White obviously.

Soo many ideas, But I cant seem to make anything final!!

HELP!!

EDIT: The Idiot towing fellow towed the scoot the other day and scratched that exhaust cover. It needs another coat of red now!!

cyrus i prefered the way it was as in stock with the stickers. Made me love it. For some reason the 3 paint jobs which you have put up didnt go in my taste.
Just my opinion.
Worst case the 3rd pic is the best among the lot

This seems paradoxical to say the least, or I am too sleepy.

But yes the 3rd paint scheme looks the best

I Guess It will be the Third one Then. Everyone seems to like that one. And So do I. I am thinking of buying another Headlight cluster and smoking it, An installing an LED setup into it. Lets see how that goes!!

The scooter looked nice with the original graphics. A simple stock Dio with xenon would have been more like it.

IMO, I liked the stock paintjob better. It may be just me but i like to keep my machines stock on the outside, i basically like sleepers. Now this may sound totally over the head but have you thought about giving the whole thing a chrome look?
Another idea that I still have for my scoot is to paint the whole thing in matt black paint with hand painted "Honda" on the handle cowl and at the back near the grabrail. Also if possible, i thought of painting a big partial "Honda Wing" on either side of the engine cover where the stock dio graphics are supposed to be.

I liked your idea of masking the tail lights and indicators.

I thought of BOTH the Chrome look and the Honda Graphics thing. I had even thought of doing a Repsol Paintjob. But then I dropped the Idea. Another thing that was in my brain was a Carbon Fibre Graphic job from XtremeGraphics in Bombay. But maybe Later.....

And the lights havent been masked. They have been painted

I like the white handlebar paint job combo, it looks uniformly done.

I like white without the cheesy lettering. Carry the white border from the fender to the fairing.

Have booked a DIO for my wife. Yellow & Black color appealed to my senses but since I was in a hurry and there was a waiting period of 2 months, opted for the readily available silver & black color. Will get the delivery in the year 2010.
