Bought Yamaha R15

Hi Friends,

Today I am proud to announce that I am an owner of Yamaha R15, after lots of research to choose between ZMA and R15 we at last decided to pick R15
Booked the bike on 29th June at Panache Yamaha Showroom in Indiranagar, Bangalore, I choose Yamaha finance (Bushan Finance) they quoted 13%pa rate of interest for 36 Months. Down payment 44600 was paid. Submitted all the required proofs and documents and got the Finance approved today afternoon.
There were two Blue colored Bike which came from Nelamangala Yamaha Gowdown today afternoon, Went to showroom at 4PM and picked up the bike and reached my home at hosur after a safe drive.
Registration will done on Monday.

I did not get any Accessories with the Bike like Bike Cover, Is there any CD given with the Bike ?? which contains the manual (like in P220).

So Experts now I need some precautions, suggestions and Tips to take care of my Bike

Congrats man, the R15 is one of the best bikes available today. I am sure the other owners would be able to help you with the tips. Meanwhile how about some pics and an initial report

R15 Gear Lever position

My R15 Gear Lever seems to be positioned higher than Footrest, I should actually keep my leg in air instead of on footrest to shift lower gears. Is that normal or we can decrease the gear lever position ????

congrats Bhargava, R 15 is a lovely bike .
I completed 1 year of ownership on July 1st.
I would recommend that you follow the running in instructions mentioned in the owner manual. And fill in petrol from reliable pumps only.
I am using xtra premium and consistently getting 38 ~ 40 kmpl with spirited driving and enough high revving .

You can install the center stand from Yamaha, it is quite useful especially in tight parking lots and, washing / lubing etc.

the gear lever is raised a bit for easy up shifts , i don't think you should consider lowering it.
