EDIT : I guess the question here is to "keep it stock" or not.
The tank paint is showing funny signs. I'm pretty sure I "CANNOT" get a new tank.
Repainting means, stickering will be a problem.

Go for all black with Just "YAMAHA" and a logo ?
I don't think we can get the original stickers alone, can we ?

getting a new tank is possible if tried hard and if ready to pay some premium

new stickers are also available at some dealers (read in another populaar 2 stroke forum). you can tray making another set of stickers with some good sticker shop.

i painted the tank and managed to get the original stickers easily. as regards to porting, you can get it mildly ported so the engine revs more freely, and the end result being better performance.

had a very short ride with some more rx's. Im sorry about the planet getting polluted but it was awesome fun!

That tank is from an RD 125.

terrific bikes. I love the RXZ with the blue stickers. nice font

just finished my first real long ride to pune on the bike. Absolutely brilliant. Found it lacking in the power department on the Lonavla uphill section which was obvious but other than that she was plain brilliant.

Did you reach on 1 full tank?

How much weight did you lose? :D

@ straight six - im going to go back also on the same tank of fuel. No refill needed.

Hmmm my bike will be in cold storage. Been that way for the last 1 year and 4 months.

It's been almost two years since i updated the RXZ thread, but then the the Smoker wasn't upto much thanks to lack of time and my other machines taking up whatever time i had. And as a result my baby isnt in the best shape. The tank sprung a leak again, the paint thanks to a shodd job started popping bubbles and the swingarm was rusting away to glory. The chassis though in good shape was showing signs of rust as well. That apart a lot of little things needed work. Well it took a lot of time and the RXZ now stood motionless for almost a year. The other day when i finally uncovered all my babies on dusshera to adorn them with garlands, my heart sunk when i laid my eyes on my precious stroker. i was guilty as charged and it was time i made up. Couple of frantic calls made and a week later this is what ensued...

All parts disassembled and gone to the paint shop. New swingarm and indicators bought. Engine will be sandblasted and buffed. Will document further progress soon.

It is nice to know that you have got new swing arm. Have you got it easily?
Do the rav counter is in working?
