EDGE is supposed to be used in cars, where a dry clutch is in place. Not for bikes, this.

There are specific engine oils meant for bikes.

Motul is what i use in my Ninja.

Cars have engine oil and gearbox oil since they are independent of each other.

In a bike the engine oil also lubes the clutch.

For a bike always buy oil that says - for wet clutch or immersed clutch, otherwise your clutch / gearbox will need a serious overhaul in a short time.

That's because car engine oils have specific friction busters in their composition. This, when used in a bike, which has a wet clutch, would let the clutch plates slip, and you would be looking at clutch overhaul sooner or later. Hence.

Please use only JASO-MA certified oils for wet sump systems.

Motul 300v, as pointed out by Aditya, is an excellent oil.

Incidentally, Motul 300V doesn't come with a JASO MA specification. Best oil though, for 2 wheels.

True. I am pretty sure it exceeds the standards, but with the horrible excuse for a website that Motul has, it probably never stands out.

I found this nice lil' list though. Check it out.

Thanks for that exhaustive list. Motul does not mention anything about JASO MA on their cans, leave alone their website.

Here is my bike's 0-60-100 to top speed video.
Does 0-60 in approx 3.5 secs, 0-100 in around 8.5 secs.
Reduced top speed because of 37T rear sprocket.

Here are a few pics from today's ride.
Its damn easy to pop a wheelie and sustain it, its got oodles of torque under it.

Hey Abhay, awesome stuff man. The performance of your 220 is in the same league as the Ninja 250, if not better in some aspects. Loved the pics.

I promise you its not, yes straight line, it will come close, but thats it. The power my bike holds is very unstable and I am rarely using more than 50% even when ripping, you need to be careful, the chassis wasn't designed for this power, the ninja is in a class apart.
Thanks for the pics, I love them too, clicked all except mine(I'm not Rajni )

Re: Pulsar 220 (new) or the Apache RTR 180 - EDIT - Bought Pulsar 220 M

Why the colour of silencer bend pipe changed? Is it normal to P220s?

Re: Pulsar 220 (new) or the Apache RTR 180 - EDIT - Bought Pulsar 220 M

Long periods of high revvs and high heat often cause discoloration of bend pipes. As does a rich tuned/ lean tuned carb. Different colours in both cases, of course.

Cheers
