I have been invited to the CIMAMotor 2009 in China! EDIT: Report has begun!

I got a mail from this website - The 8th China International Motorcycle Trade and Exhibition (CIMAMotor 2009) that they will provide me air tickets, accommodation and local travel with a chinese translator if I cover the event in my blog Indian Motorcycle Reviews & Bike News - BikeAdvice.in by Deepak Raj

It is a 4 day event happening at Chongqing

I also need to put their banner on my home page...

Anybody heard of this event before? What is your advice? Should I go?

Also I am worried about Swine Flu... Is this an opportunity not be missed, or missing it would be better?

I think its a great opportunity and you should grab on it... I recently visited China and based on my personal experiance you need not worry about Swine Flu ( If you are taking proper precautions).

No Idea about this event tough. But i still think its a good opportunity and will give you and your Blog a good Boost.

Hey Karizma fan, I don't think think you should give this a second thought

- However, please make sure you are not shelling out the expenses initially on the post payment basis. Make sure everything is taken care off financially from their end else you might have trouble claiming back the expenses and then there would be some terms & conditions applicable which you might be kep unaware of.

So get things documented and please make sure they have all the bookings in place from their end.

Do NOT miss this opportunity! It will be an eye-opener in many ways, plus a great place to network.

Such expos are typically very large, and involve a lot of foot work. Generally not possible to cover each stall so what I recommend is, get a list of participants and shortlist those that interest you. First cover them and, if there is any time left over, just glance through the other participants for anything that may grab your attention. Home work is V IMP before covering such a large event.

Tell them you'll cover it on Team-BHP too

Post more motorcycle pics man. Apart from the Gixxer, I couldn't see too many pics. The chicks are okayish. Eagerly waiting for more bike/chick pics.

Hello KarizmaFan - Seems like you are having some fun out there with those machines parked around.

Also, it would be great if you can help us with some side profiles of the bikes (Like the one you clicked of the Gixxer) minus the chicks if possible.

Hope you continue having a ball of a time out there, however dont forget to click some detailed pics showing more details of the machines.

Hi, I am just back from the second day of the event. Today was a little boring. Morning session was a meeting where delegates from different countries came and spoke about investment opportunities of Chinese motorcycle industry in their home countries.

By 12 noon we did some test riding of chinese bikes. Loncin seems to be the largest manufacturer in China. You can see the pic... that's me testing all the bikes there.

After lunch we visited the Loncin factory where we saw the bikes being made from parts to finish. We also had a meeting with the manager where we asked some questions.

I took videos of the assembly line. I also saw 650cc BMW engines being manufactured there... seems that they are the OEMs for them.

The internet connection is a little slow here and I don't have much time. After this post I am going to doze off straight away. I will upload everything I have once I return to India. I plan to setup a separate orkut account for this where I can upload the 500+ photos and nearly 50 videos. Stay tuned on my blog for more info.
