Rider Mania X : 23rd - 24th January 2010

The Inddiethumpers Motorcycle Club are hosting the next edition of the Rider Mania in Mumbai next year but have heard rumours that RE is also planning their own Rider Mania somewhere around the same time! Any other news, views?

RE has already released an ad for the Rider Mania, its carried in the latest issue of Bike India. 17th to 20th November in Goa.

The 23ONE Motorcycling club is riding to Mumbai for the RM X that is being organised by our brothers.

Not yet decided on the corporate road show by RE.

Yup, I will be riding with the RTMC too..

Just wanted to know the thoughts and views on the RM being held by RE from you guys....

Privately (now publicly), I think that RE should have atleast named it something else!

Everyone calls the annual event held in January every year by clubs as Rider Mania.

You will find some threads created by me on Rider Mania as well. The last RM was held by RTMC. They did a fantastic job in Ooty.
Clubs from Chennai(MadBulls), Wanderlust(Nagpur), Hyderabad etc have held it before.

I had so much fun hosting my friends in RM 08.

But now RE wants to host an event too. They should have called it anything but RM.

Yes, you are correct. I was confused as both events were being held around the same time. I am out of the scene now for around 6-7 years, looks like a lot of water has flowed below the bridge, in the wrong direction that is.

Its started off as a initiative by all the clubs, RE was part of it as the sponsor, then the tussle started as to who gets to run the show, then its all downwards from there, but Ridermania, is an event by the clubs, rest is all incidental.

Time to ride to Bombay, once again.

It gives the Inddiethumpers motorcycle club immense pleasure to invite you to the much awaited RM-X.

RM-X, the name coined to signify the event happening in the year 2010, we are trying to have a different dimension to the event by making it memorable and unique much in the same way as RM 05.

RM-X will be held on the 23rd and 24th January 2010 at Nature trails resort in Vikramgad.

Approximately 120 kms from Bombay and 30 kms from Manor, off NH8, Vikramgad, situated in the lap of the Sayhadri mountains is a gateway to the rich heritage and culture of Maharashtra, surrounded by exotic valleys and thick forests.

We’ve got a lot in store for you. Events that rock, two days with fellow bikers, great food with local flavor and some really wild nonstop entertainment.

The RE Rider Mania costed Rs 500 I guess for registration. That would probably affect the InddieThumpers Rider Mania, considering their fees:

15th Nov 2009 to 15th Dec 2009: Rs. 3,700/-
16th Dec 2009 to 31st Dec 2010: Rs. 4,200/-
1st Jan 2010 to 15th Jan 2010: Rs. 4,500/-
Spot Registrations: Rs. 5,000/- (Subject to availability)

I've never been to any Rider Mania, what does the fees include?

The registration fees generally includes the
welcome kit: T Shirt, a bag and such stuff.
Rooms: Generally on a sharing basis. In Hyderabad we had like 10-12 folks in one room. Bangalore had 4 per room and so on.
Food: Breakfast/ Lunch/ Tea/ Dinner for 2 days.

The rates by InddieThumpers seem ok to me.

Wow, I was just looking to comment on this one! Nice, the "real" Rider Mania is back and the registrations are open. I too think the rates are decent. But not sure how the accomodations are going to be - especially for couples. More info awaited.
