Very simple really, if you have the money, go for Comet. No regrets. Closest you can get to a brand new superbike, without any spares/repairs/serivce hassles. Though I haven't heard too kindly about the comet servicing.

I would go for the Comet anyday if my wallet allows it...and would do something to increase the sound...its too quiet....

The avenger is the same old eliminator with the new 180 dtsi engine..nothin new about it...

Karizma looks like a cockroach from the front man!!! totally hate the looks but engine performance is good compared to 180dtsi....

well dude if you are looking for some power then i would suggest you to go for a 98,, 250 rr you'll get it around 1.9 lks with all the front fairing and dimensionally similar to the cbr 400 .
spending 20 grands more for a 250rr is worth because of the raw power u get with it (43bhp), whereas comet produces a meagre 28 bhp , the difference is there to be seen and to be felt . and the service of hyosung kinetic is not that great and you 'll find honda spares are much easier to find . chao cheerz

^^ I would suggest otherwise. A CBR means when you have to repair the bike (which may not be often, but significant even the few times it happens), you have HUGE repair bills. Talk in tens of thousands depending on what's gone wrong. On the other hand, Comet would be a new bike (prolly not now since they're all sold out).

@speedfreak: The Avenger isn't JUST an elminator with a new heart. It's a completely different bike. According to reviews, the kwacker was a smooth, slick shifting bike with more top speed. (115kph true)

The avenger is a not-too-polished, brought down to cut price bike, which tops the top end (110kph true).

The other parts may remain same, but the one which isn't is more than enough to call them different bikes - 25k apart.

Obviously powerslave....its much lighter that the eliminator and it has the new Dtsi engine which has much smoother performance....what i was saying is that its basically the same eliminator design and body shape with the new Dtsi engine.....did i say anything wrong????

Actually you are kinda wrong... the dtsi engine is less refined than the original kwacker unit. The ride quality has gone down, the gearshifting is less smoother and the op speed is less by about 5-7kmph leaving it sighing for more at 110kph. If you think they're the same bike, then you are not being specific.

No offense by the tone.

i have a karizma..before i bought it has loads of expectations..but its rear braking is poor..top speed is kinda ok..125-130.riding comfort is great..price tag ok.but its looks is left a little wanting..they should hav put in 120 atleat in the rear rather than 100..and may be could have done better wit disc brakes in the rear.never rode a comet.but avenger just rode it yday for 20kms..well its kinds ok..poor pickup though..and same looks!
love to buy a comet..but cant afford!
