Re: Pics of weird and wacky mod jobs!

Met and interviewed the owner of this "illegitimate love child of RE and Bajaj". Before you start bashing, hats off to the owner/creator for her spirit of adventure. When no bike fits your need, you create one. Hope you have fun

Couple of deviations though, Austria and Australia are closer in spellings but are nowhere near each other.

I'm pretty sure they were being 'ironic' 😛 pun intended

Presenting my modified CBZ star

Hello T-BHP,

Creating this post to say hi and present my modified CBZ Star 2005 model. I have 7 bikes (used to be 8 but my friend bought one ). So I guess you can call me a bike lover. Looking forward to lots of learning and sharing in the days to come

While most people focus on modding what's on the outside, I focused on modding the inside and keeping the vehicle road legal.

I will share the pictures below. It is modified with a 2011 model Karizma R. The whole inside of the bike is Karizma, Engine, Wiring, Battery, Carburettor and other paraphernalia. The engine cover and look of the engine is same as CBZ Star so as not to arouse suspicion.

Karizma Macwheel and shock absorbers at the rear

And at the front. The disc is Karizma but was hand cut by my friend to bring out the design. Looks like Apache disc.

As you can see, Karizma starter kit is inserted. Engine cover along with engine number remains CBZ.

Modified Indian Bikes - Post your pics here-img20181013wa0007.jpg

Silencer is Karizma but the plating on top is from CBZ so that it looks like CBZ at first glance.

Karizma battery is bigger so a frame was handcrafted to fit the battery on to the CBZ. The carburettor is placed below the accelerator coil cover.

Do let me know your thoughts. Also, anybody wants similar work done in Pune, my friend is there to help :P

Thanks,
Soumyajit

Royal Enfield UK and Bali-based Smoked Garage are here with an exclusively built Himalayan named SG-411. The number in this name represents the engine size of this beautiful machine while SG is the initials of Smoked Garage itself.

Tastefully modified cruisers

I was casually browsing bikes on Olx and bumped into pictures that made my knees go weak.

Cruisers already look attractive when stock. And when they get modified, it's hard to not drool over them.

Go ahead and share pictures of other tastefully modified cruisers that you've seen.

Re: Modified Indian Bikes - Post your pics here

Spotted this near Junction Mall, Durgapur. Seems like someone got bored of their Suzuki Samurai and turned it into a cafe racer with TVS side panels and an RE Continental seat cowl. It looks decent IMHO.

Re: Modified Indian Bikes - Post your pics here

Greetings all,

Posting here because it only seems appropriate since I’m seeking advice on a modified KTM duke 200 (2012).

Need a complete wiring overhaul and the company sells them steeply at 12k.
Bikes had numerous imminent shutdowns due to some faulty wiring issue either related to the fuel injector/ battery/ fuse all of which have been temporarily fixed by quacks.

Considering taking this on as a passion project and doing the re-work myself. Service manuals for the bike would be a great starting point and I’m unable to find any on the web.

Point me to any trusted mechanics in Goa(panjim area) would consider that a great help.

Hi @redpill! I hope this helps :

I fondly remember your bike as one of the first and arguably the most well-executed scrambler conversions done on a Duke 200 . I wish you all the very best on your project. Hope you're able to restore it back to its old glory.

Here are a few pictures of the bike during its heyday:
