I don't mind not having coverage for an expensive exhaust, its just that insurance people always look for ways to avoid paying us, can't imagine how it would feel if they refuse to pay anything for a crashed superbike! hope I am not going too off topic! I always had this question in mind, hence had to ask, exhaust these days are just too muted for my taste

coming back to topic Found this on OLX chennai :

I have finally started to personalize this bike. This is just the start, sourcing many more parts to make it unique.

Attached an old pic from my 200.
Me and my mech just sat down and cut the tail to a length I liked, made a new number plate and we were done.

I have a plastidip can, but the alloys are painted as plastidip comes out fairing easily. Just a small scratch and anyone can peel it off.

Re: Modified Indian bikes - Post your pics here and ONLY here

It was back in 1990 hat I modified my RD350 into an enduro bike; the pictures are somewhere in the deep past of this eternal thread.

sometime later, maybe around 2002, the laws were changed, and I was told my mods were illegal. The bike needed to be inspected by the RTO [being more that 15 years old by then], and they would confiscate it when they saw I modified the suspension and frame.

I sold it a few years ago, since I no longer come to India.

But seeing you guys still so enthusiastically doing such creative work on your bikes, I was wondering what the legal is situation these days?

Alright, here's my old bike. Has anyone seen it around?

Re: Modified Indian bikes - Post your pics here and ONLY here

Another build from IRONic

"Slightly Epic"

Started of with a Yamaha Rx135

Hand made aluminium fairings with brush metal finish to add character. An extended swing arm to accommodate a 130 section tyre, and of course a hand made tail out of sheet metal, and then you have the knee indents, and a not so cool visor (which is removable). All the aluminium work and fabrication was done in-house by a metal sculpture artist (IRONic Engineering) with a bit of help from his German Shepherd and his short tempered grandfather; check him out and his collection for more details and mechanical related sculptures.

AND YES It has specifically designed air vents to suck in more air, as they know that its a two stoke, and needs a lot more amount of cooling. They build these motorcycles as a hobby, they are no geniuses and they DO NOT try to imitate or copy, this is more of a passion, they work on tight budgets and timelines as they have dog to feed and bills to pay, so no fancy parts yet.

The machine took approximately 3 weeks to build. Hope you guys like it, open for critique.

Sorry for bad grammar, me english not all ok...

WoW ! Team Brother. Let me tell you something, something between dreams, wants & fantasies.
1. You sure have a Great Looker.
2. Tell me about the front tires.
3. Your rear ones look great with those fancy wheels.
4. Now burning your sparks would be a great time to thank a Royal Enfield Buff, do check your silencer.
5. This is how it goes in the real world brother.

Be safe, Drive Safe. Regards ... Big Cat.

A bit O.T... but since we're talking about this "IRONic" creation - check out their facebook page.

Full of cool tinkering with metal bits in the garage, but it's the WICKED sense of humour that made me like the page

Oh, and i bought this t-shirt with an illustration of the same bike on it. Pretty cool!
