IMO, it is kind of impractical because it would have to be so much more bigger than the normal one and would end up looking grossly oversized.

Bad Accident With a HELMET.

I was coming from Pune University Campus Last year.
When i hit the road..i saw some gravel on the road.
Also a crowd disperse. A truck was being ushered to the
side of the road by some traff cop. I stopped and
enquired. A young girl.. on a scooty..wearing a helmet...
lost her balance and fell down. People started shouting..and
waving at the adjecent truck driver..who paniced and hit the
gas thinking that someone was under the
massive truck (not under the wheel).
Poor girl's head came directly under the rear wheel
and crushed it with the helmet already on.
Believe me guys..it was as if someone had
thrown a bucket of red paint on the road.
Two days ago i learnt that she was a student of
mass comm/MCom ..i vividly rem.. and a roomie of my moms best friends
daughter. She was a good student and returning
home after her final paper. She was to
see her dad after the paper and reurn to Mumbai (Thane).
Can't imagine what the girls parents must have gone through.
May her soul rest in Peace.
When one has to go one has to go...helmet or no helmet.
But to avoid permament damages to the head and be
a pain for everyone in the house...PLEASE WEAR A HELMET.
Moderators...sorry for the graphic description.

i wear a helmet inside city and outside on highways too, but my only concern here is the quality of helmets not being up to the mark.

once all we friends had a small meet and kidding aroud pulling eachother's leg and one of my buddies is short tempered, he hit another guy on his knee with a helmet and it cracked. though the knee swell man is that the quality being sold out here? because the helmet was VOLGA balloon drop model that costed 700bucks...

that is really sad about the quality part, but still i think these helmets provide cushioning to the skull during an accident so i still recommend wearing one and wear one myself...

the more expensive and good quality fiber glass shell ones are of far better quality than the plastic ones that are widely being sold.
