I think Bajaj not having any idea about R&D, changing one engine from others, its very pathetic. Basically Bajaj demoting the sales for the pulsar.Bajaj Better try to avoid cosmetic change, we know what you are doing,we are not kid , not like you

You are not like kid. Then why do you make sweeping statements?

Bajaj does not know anything about R&D... Why?

Yes, it perhaps does not make the best business sense. But, where does R&D come in from?

Bajaj is only looking for sale, not like researching new engine platform, Already pulsar sale is good, why its demotivating the pulsar? If R & D is really good they are not launching this kind of vehicle. Its should be common sense , its should not be business sense. Did you really feel this kind of move is good or not?

Hey! Apologies are due.

I forgot that it was based on the XCD 135 platform.

Sorry!

Have they launched it? The website is up, though.

135cc, 4valves, 13.5PS and 122KG.

Yup. The timer ran out today morning.

Where did they unveil it?

It seems to be a new engine. Okay stats, seems like a slightly higher revving one. Has XCD been pulled off the shelf?

Super buggy site. They should finish the site before they launch it! Lazy bums.

Whats the OTR price like?

XCD mates the pulsar! Gawd they even used the pulsar name!! And the rear mud-gaurd looks so very very out of place!

4 valves is nice tho! Hopefully should come across the entire range of pulsars now.

It is disappointing to me. New bike with Same old set of designs. maybe the seat from Pulsar, front cowls from XCD and engine.. well it is a 135. Why would Bajaj launch another 135 when XCD was decent enough and that too under the Pulsar banner which has set the trend towards higher and higher CC on every new model? A name like Pulsar mini might have given a good boost to higher end Pulsar sales and owner's egos

Please get hold of the latest issue of Forbes magazine. Its got Rajiv Bajaj on the cover and the cover story is on Bajaj Auto. The article talks about the strategies behind brand Pulsar and its variants.

Raja.

Won't this dilute the Pulsar brand?

Pulsar is the only long standing nameplate in Bajaj's stable and why are the giving a 135CC bike with that name!

^ There lies a huge market where people wish to own a "Pulsar" - immaterial of the power, but cannot afford the 150 / 180.

I think this is aimed at those youngsters.
