I got excited expecting it to be bigger than 220. It seems to be a new version of 150. The parts become prominent if you place the cursor above the bike in the website.

Hope it is more than a cosmetic change.

Didn't they launch the revamped P150 a few months back, along with the P180?

I was expecting a fully faired Pulsar.

BTW, there was a report about Bajaj wanting to do about 80K Pulsars a month!

BTW, The regular pulsar thump seems to be missing.
The engine sounds more smooth and sporty!

Well, that will sell, but Pulsar Fans heart will be broken... 150->180->200->220 was the right approach. If they think they can garner more market by positioning the pulsar in lower CC segment - the 180+ segment will loose their uniqueness.!!! Viva RTR's

----------EDIT---------

A leading 'Scoop' only website from downsouth says its a 200CC and also a new XCD is going to be launched..!! Confused Bajaj??

1) Had a look at the bike. Only when the mouse cursor moves over the rear seat and fuel tank, a small look at those parts is visible.

2) The seat is not continuous, Its a separate unit for rear. So two individual piece for seating. This is something we can expect in sports bike only. This is an indication that the bike is atleast not 135cc.

3) When the cursor moves over at fuel tank, it is visible that there is very little space between fuel tank base and engine. This indicates that the engine is surely above 135cc. I am expecting this bike to be 180cc, but that was recently upgraded. So the only option are 150cc and 200cc. Now considering the seats, and the overall look, IMHO, this is new 200. Bajaj is in dire need of this bike in the wake of TVS bikes.

4) But Bajaj are aiming high in general and banking upon Pulsar range.
Bajaj to ramp-up Pulsar production, targets 1 mn sales by FY 11
Quote:
Bajaj Auto is betting big on its Pulsar bike and plans to ramp-up its production to 90,000 units per month in the next six months with a sales target of one million units per annum by end-FY 11.

"We are witnessing a resurgence of sales in Pulsar. From a low of 25,000 units sales per month last year, sales have now shot up to 45,000 units per month," Bajaj Auto's CEO for 2-Wheelers, S Sridhar, told PTI.

The company has set an ambitious but "achievable" target of one million units for FY 11 and will ramp-up production at its Chakan unit to 90,000 units per month over the next six months, Sridhar said.

The company, which had a sales of 28,000 per month (3,36,000 for the year) in FY 09, is aiming to sell six lakh Pulsars this fiscal (FY 10) at a monthly average of 50,000 units per month, he said.

The target is to up this to 85,000 units per month in FY 11 with the annual sales target pegged at one million units, he said.

Of this, Pulsar 180 cc and 220 cc, both launched early this year to beat competition from Yamaha and Suzuki, would constitute 40 per cent sales with the balance from the Pulsar 150 cc, he said.

Presently, its 180 cc and 220 cc sales constitute 30 per cent of the total Pulsar portfolio.

The Pulsar, which is in the performance category, presently enjoys a 50 per cent marketshare, Sridhar claimed.
So may be to grab volumes they are coming up with Pulsar 135, but Discover is already doing fine in that segment, so mostly this bike is 200cc.

I hope that they improve on A.S & S. all over the country. Next, they need a completely new chassis design and a completely new engine. A brand new 150 is what they need for volumes.

A P200 doesnt make any sense now. With the 180 getting most goodies and 220 coming down the price ladder with all the jazz it offers. Its suddenly become VFM!
So motoroids may well be correct.

Damn, hate these bikes during the rains i.e. What with the rear tyre completely uncovered. No extended mudguard, not much of a mudflap, for sure this is going to ruin many a hapless biker's day by splashing water behind, during the rains.
