The grand-daddy thumper in the sky - Bullet 350 Discontinued

So long, Royal Enfield Standard 350, it was great knowing you, and you definitely have made an impact on the Indian motoring scene.

This morning, I was at HSR Services in Bangalore to make payments & complete registration formalities on my Standard 350, when the sales manager told me that they have been informed by RE to stop accepting orders for the Standard 350.

And I am getting my bike delivered tomorrow. Am glad I bit the 'Bullet' when I did.

Interestingly, the same thing happened to me when I bought my first bike, a '96 Yezdi Roadking. If you have issues with a bike and want it to cease to exist, just get me to book it!

Congrats and enjoy with what would be one of the last classic bikes to be produced.

Congrats!! It is a great bike.

I hope Enfield would provide good support for the discontinued models.

Congrats on the purchase. Good choice, more so because it has the CB point setup - more retro. It'll be a great many years before the CB point setup is looked at the same way as the magneto is today.
The Standard getting discontinued was inevitable but it is still a bit distressing nevertheless. Sure, I got my '79 Standard but... You guys understand the sentiment, right?

End of the road for a legend. sad day for indian biking.

Now the streets will be filled with those plastic toys from the Bajaj stable. :(

The King is dead! Long live the King!

No sir, The king never dies. There are millions of people still riding strong, and people like me, who scrambled for last minute deliveries.

The legend rides on, bigger and stronger than ever now.

very sad to hear that.

i have very nice memories of this bike.

and some scary ones too.

always rode it without a leg guard.

most scariest - riding this beast at 105 kmph. shook every damn bone in my body.

the fun of this thing was similar to having a leopard or a lion as pet. (more like a lion, it was not as fast as a leopard i guess)

So true for me too.

I purchased a Yamaha RX135 in Nov 2004. It was the last RX available in Delhi show room.

Purchased a Baleno on Mat 2007. Baleno production stopped .

A ThunderBird on Jan 2008. Thundrbird production stopped and TBTS introduced.
