Personally, I too feel that the Ninja is an important Bike for the Inidan biking enthusiasts & could pave the way for better bikes in coming times.

While a similar attempt was done by Kinetic by launching the Aquila & Comet, both of them lacked the image & track oriented nature of the Ninja

I just hope more Bike companies get prompted to launch such bikes.

Didn't knew Ninja is an Indian motorcycle but then you can't argue with the decision of these top notch journo's.

Good bike no doubt lets hope this will make other Jap and Indian makers do something about it. Whatever it will be, good for us.

To qualify for the 2009 awards, only all-new cars and motorcycles, whatever the country of their origin, that went on sale in showrooms across the country before December 1, 2009 were considered. Existing cars and motorcycles that have had mere cosmetic facelifts or small mechanical tweaks do not qualify for consideration.
Btw I have heard that the Ninja is indeed doing some good numbers :)

It surely is as loads of guys are picking up after their apprehension of price has been put to rest
Hope others will launch inline screamers(~5k price) post this success story
