Not advisable to do so. The stay is the support for the mudguard. You may have a twisted bike's back. Get the black one and paint it while your booking matures. It's a simple job at any paint shop.

Re: The Royal Enfield 500 Classic thread!

RE Guru's I have a small query: Are the new changes to the Desert Storm and Classic Chrome models applicable to the other CL500 models/colors too? Or are these changes exclusive to the DS and Chrome?

ruchirtnt:

If you are willing to pay to keep the license and insurance current and you are willing to ride it then perhaps keeping it might be in order.

If, on the other hand you do not want to pay for the needed fees and you don't think you will ride it then, in my opinion you would be better off selling it and letting someone who will appreciate it enjoy owning it.

Any motorcycle if left to sit for long periods of time will develop problems with their battery and fuel system.
If you keep it without riding it and these problems develop it will make selling it much more difficult.

All CL500s, including DS and Chrome, have the newly introduced features.

Re: The Royal Enfield 500 Classic thread!

The single seat coming with Classic Chrome is a special TAN seat whereas the one with Desert storm is a normal single seat, why this difference, i think both the motorcycles are limited editions of RE and should be treated equally, might be to justify the 9k difference between the two.

Re: The Royal Enfield 500 Classic thread!

Delivered after a waiting time of princely 45 minutes
probably the quickest one to be delivered.
All i had to do is,walk in and ride out(after getting essentials fitted).

Re: The Royal Enfield 500 Classic thread!

As advertised in many publications, these chrome and desert storm models are stated as Limited Edition models and not the regular ones,
if this is true, i will have a good coincidence of owing 2005 Limited Edition Thunderbird 50 years celebration model and now the Limited Edition Desert storm

Mods: Please merge two back to back post

Congrats to the owner of the beautiful beast.
Looks like you got it from Royal Motors Ambala. Envious of your 45mins waiting time , mine took 7 days from there (CSD hassles ).

Does this model come in CSD? Does DS model also come in CSD?

Can you share the CSD price?
