wrong. the disk brake assembly is genuin. there is no drum brake. even the front forks are from Kinetic GF170.
Whoever did this job did it neat. Quote:

Friends what do you think about the idea of using Pulsar digital speedo in place of that. is it mechanically feasible. I have heard the pulsar pinion has magnets and sensors . what do you think about it.

As far as installing the wheel hub sensor unit and the wire, it is feasible.
But you will have to check for the Tachometer, various tell-a-tale lights. Quote:

Problem will be with Spokes and it won't perform as good as this disk.
You can trust me as I have done a lot of DIY on my GF170laser. You need to be a good DIYer to maintain it in good condition and I'm proud that mine was when we parted.
Anyway. first thing you should do is, get a Pulsar analog Speedo cable and attach it to the hub. rotate the wheel and see if the other end of the cable rotates.
If it does then you can buy a Pulsar speedometer.
if your bike doesn't have a Engine RPM sensor then buy a Speedo from some other Bajaj bike which only has speedometer.
F2 did have a tachometer.
I wish you could be in Mumbai. I love bike DIY jobs.
PM me for any details you want.
