Please help me identify this disk brake setup (pinion wheel)

Hi friends last year I had brought a yamaha rxg with a disk brake preinstalled. Now I want to install a speedometer to it. but the problem is that nor the mechanic or the yamaha service center or bajaj service center are able to recognize which bike's disk brake setup this is (pinion wheel needs to be changed) Please help me identify this. A lot of thanks in advance.

First try to identify the brand. Maybe it's KBX.

I see a slot for disc brake setup being provided on the left side of the suspension too; Hey what does the oil tank look like & are there any brand name etched on it? Pls take a pic of it & post it here.

First of all thanks for the reply . i was losing heart after 100 views and not a single reply. thought I will have to give up the idea of a speedometer. Just want to make one thing clear "I just want to know which pinion wheel it is." uploading some photos. maybe it will help.

Yes mithun the brand is KBX, but they provide disc for all type of brands. Does the pinion wheel come with the disk brake setup.

Thanks for your effort.

I'm unable to make out; Not sure, you may want to make one locally, instead of going in for readymade ones from the spares division.

The disk brake unit and the forks are from Kinetic GF170
It's 220 mm disk.

Same unit came with Kinetic GF170 City, Gf170 Laser and GF125
It's KBX unit. the brake pads are identical to Pulsar's and can be interchanged, though pulsar has 240 mm disk
I had both bikes P150 and GF170 Laser.

Thanks aargee for the effort. Not sure if making one locally is feasible.

Thanks a lot motionfreak. I did look up the photo of GF170 in google and they do match. not sure what the notch in the left side is for. the kinetic spare is a bit difficult to find, I have asked my friends to look for this. now finally my bike can have a speedometer .

If its the one on LH fork you meant, its possibly for holding drum brake's torque arm. Instead of search for GF spares, take out the drive assy/ components & use as sample. Thus a chance of getting suitable part/ assy from others. Which meter are you going to put to get correct readings ?

Ya Rennjit I did take the assy/components to yamaha and bajaj spares, they have no idea about it. well I am not much into the correct reading, just wanted to fill the blank space behind the headlight. I have got a friend's speedo of Fiero F2, the single one. I think the cable will match.

Kinetic is no more. Its bought by Mahindra. Even if it was, you will not get spares because they stopped making them long back. I have been waiting for speedo cable for my GF Laser since 2005.

Yes you are right vab78. Today morning I was calling Kinetic showroom all over kerala. They are very eager to take the call, but as soon as they hear the name GF, laser etc, their sound goes down "no sir we dont have that stock, it has stopped." My mechanic gave me a number of a shop, it is my last hope, will call them tomorrow. will have to plan anything else otherwise.

how about pulsar digital speedo. dont know the technical specificality of that. have to talk with my mechanic.
