What is "best" for one may NOT be for other. Anyway, there are better bikes available. All other bikes including the CBZ X and the Hunk which share engines with the Uni better it.

I have been waiting and waiting for the new unicorn and only this week booked GS150R after getting frustrated with the wait .

What's the source of your news.

Its funny how HMSI treats the Indian market.
  • India buys 10 times (the volume) as Japan does, and yet Japan has the better models.
  • R15, P220, RE and now HD are showing that Indians do not shy away from paying big bucks for better power-houses.
  • India has engine categories for 80cc, 100cc, 115cc, 125cc, 135cc, 150cc, 160cc, 180cc, 225cc, 250cc, 350cc, 500cc, 1000cc, 1300cc, whereas globally it is 250cc, 400cc, 600cc, 800cc, 1000cc, and 1000cc+
  • India has greater length of metalled road than all of Japan's road length put together.
  • India is an emerging economy with more people than anywhere else. This translates to a huge number even in a niche target segment.
  • Once the R&D is done, it costs lesser to set up production lines in India than anywhere else, barring China in particular products.
  • India's FTA with Thailand gives Honda the option of importing Inventory through Thailand at really low rates.
And still we get treated like sub-Saharan Africa when it comes to launching better, more powerful motorcycles.

Imagine the CB400 re-launched in India. What would you not do for a twin cylinder 400cc from Honda?

I guess I would hold HH responsible for this. They definitely took motorcycle to the masses, but they also made it a commute-only option. And the whole Splendor line-up shows you how stickers are performance enhancements

Right said , but there must be some reason. Our roads, high-ways are still under development, we need to have proper infrastructure for fast cars and bikes. Take for e.g there are road-humps every 2-10 km on Bangalore-Mysore state high-way and in cities there is choking traffic, so many signals, illegal road-humps, too many cross roads, I don't think a fast car/bike is any fun here. Though there are signal free corridor projects under development in cities, our population, number of vehicles on roads is also growing enormously.

As per xbhp, the date of Dazzler launch is 12 May '10. Anyway it means that the launch is in this week.

As I have posted the Dazzler has been launched in Delhi on the 12th.... launching in Mumbai on 14th (Tomorrow).

Moderators... there are two more new threads for the same bike. I request you to merge these threads.

May be they have tuned it a bit to produce more power!! The unicorn is 13.3bhp(as per the HMSI website)

Another aspect which would be making it interesting is the weight of the bike and the transmission!!!
