Gurpartap,

It is on the left and unlike the Pre UCE Bullets, you cannot change over to the RHS gear shift without some really extensive mods.

Cheers,

Jay

Have to wait and see how the sales figures would be for standard UCE model. Its really difficult for me to call it a bullet because the real thump would be missing. Even if thump is present in the bike it would be because of the different kind of silencer thats put in to the bike, unlike the CI engines.

Is the Amp Meter Still Present in this "retro" std 350?
Also - What is the Tyre Size?

Its there as far as I can recall. What i distinctly remember is the missing decompressor which i was told functions automatically now and causes the stupid hiss.

Tyre size is the standard 3.25 X 19".

Please verify the same before taking it on authority.

Has anyone taken an out-of-the-crate delivery...? With battery precharged of course... You know the feeling of the girl coming to life right in front of you what with the engine oil being poured in and kicked for the first time...

Any idea about how much it costs in Pune? I want to get one for my college-going brother, who can ride only left-hand geared bikes!!!

Went to Dhoni Automobiles, the only RE dealers in Pune. They will start accepting booking for STD UCE from next month. The dude there said they have stopped taking booking for Classic 350. But Classic 500 is still on with a waiting period of 7+ month!!!

Its better you trade in with the older style tank. But if you still insist then you have to find a bullet specialist repairer for the fuel tanks. They are used to do this job although I don't recommend as they drill holes in the tank and then weld in the bungs with gas welding. Just find the right guy, inquire around and you are sorted.

Not yet but they should be able to convert your classic booking for Std 5 if it gets launched within your booking period.
