If they only released this in India along side the C5, I would be a happy man.

This G5 doesn't even have the latest model of their RVM's that is available on C5's, G5 still has the mirrors of TBTS; I sincerely wish TBTS get the 500CC engine & I'll seriously think about buying one.

looks like a 98 Classic 500 ! just with the UCe engine ! does not appeal that though

@aargee : in a chat with RE people, they intend to launch the TBTS in india, but the pricing factor ( according to them ) might be a problem, i guess close to 2lacs :( !

The other thing being that they intend to have Efi with lambda sensor as Euro 5 and not before that norm. is necessary in india. and even with that i got some crap from them saying that they have to have a platinum coating inside the silencer for reducing heat. And that would increase the pricing by 25k . I don't understand a thing though, that how platinum can do that ? can it ? and then the worst thing is that the Regional service manager was Speaking Platinum as Plutonium ! lololol

Platinum as plutonium

On a serious note, Platinum is infact used in exhausts.
Platinum plays a very important role of a catalyst to break down toxic gases coming out of the engine into carbon dioxide and other reasonably less harmful gases.

My fair guess would be this: With Euro 5 coming into picture, the use of platinum would be forced upon automobile makers because only THAT meets the emissions norms set by Euro-5.
