Hyosung/Kinetic COMET - First Ride & Pics

Hi Guys,

Since the BEAST was in for service yesterday I borrowed my friends new bike. It a Hyosung Comet 250 and the specs are :

250 cc V-Twin
30 bhp
11000 rpm redline
110 & 150 F&R 17" Tyres
Disc Brakes Fron & Rear
Mag Alloy Rims

It's quite a looker specially in Red with the Gold forks and raised rear end. Wasn't able to push it much since it's just done 350 odd km and not run in properly. Posting a few pics now and will post more later on alongwith complete technical details. Enjoy !!

Arrey baba, after almost 3 years still no report on riding experience?

Nice pics. Would have loved to own that bike today if not for hassles with parts etc.

Rear disc's, V-twin WOW. What's the top whack on this one and any 0-100 timings?

This bike is pretty awesome. The sad part of the story is that as we drool over the bike, I have seen food / pizza delivery guys in S. Korea use this bike for door delivery!

Ishan, Comets are still available new? I thought Kinetic had sold all the Comets they had imported till now.

Bike is a beauty and the engine is a torquey unit. Ask your friend to install rear view mirrors!

Btw it's possible to add a second brake rotor on the front wheel. Rotor mount holes on the hub are blanked off with a black plate. And the right side caliper mount is already there on the forks! Even though it might be un necessary on the 250 it will improve the looks.

It's funny how when I opened the thread 3 years ago it didn't evoke a single response & look at it now!!

And sorry guys, these pics were taken 3 years ago when the bike was brand new. In fact, I've pretty much forgotten how she was to ride (except the fact that she was pretty quick for a non-biker like me and she had pretty stiff suspension)!! So there, that's all I remember!!

bhayyaji that was fast!!! and excellent pics too.

Do I see a radiator?? or is it the oil cooler?

Can this frame be called as Delta Frame?

Interestingly the GF series from the Kinetic-Hyosung also had similar frames.

was it a yellow one with AP 29K 3***?

If it was the same one which I am referring to then consider yourself as a lucky one. I heard it had a terrible accident, so terrible that the frame was damaged. But last I heard was the seller was waiting for an un-suspecting buyer who could cough up 1.2L

Ram, dont regret. With 8000K on the odo you should be happy to have let it pass.
