@Dcustom - Good luck;
So how about the casing? Are you intending to use the same casing or planning to build a custom one?
Also, I've one more confusion, if you've the engine already in place, I hope you'll be stripping down the engine to reduce the bulkiness isn't it? Appreciate if you shed some light on this pls? Tks.

gearbox case will be chopped smaller,as the place left empty by differential will serve no purpose.similar to what i have done with the Zen box. casing will be customized in and around lay shaft aswell.
Ac compressor may be removed saving something like 5kg weight, apart from that not too much weight reduction planned on the engine unit yet. However these things are last things to be done just before painting and stuff,so i ll live it quater mile at a Time.

Hiya folks, well not yet burning the rubber, but good progress has been made, done up whole drive train, transmiting all of 280 NM to rear wheel without hiccups and jerks, actually i did components which would transmit about 400NM just to be on safer side,so over engineered every bit of drive set up.
in a couple of days may be next monday i would starts on frame fabrication, which has already been done up in soft copies.

i know its a huge delay, but its all due to MONEYPENNEY.its hard to find it for such projects here in india.by dec we shud have first ride of the FAT MAN.

oh yes and the Zen bike has also been done up fully now,re made the whole frame,it had rear suspension related issues, she will get he paint job soon, i will post some videos.

hey did any one find the alloy wheel, i asked you guys to help me out for, also a motorcycle dealer is askin for 27000/ for a 240/40 metzeller tyre,(bachoo motorcycle tyres ) in mumbai.it seems to be toooooooo damn expensive for me.let me know if some one can get me a wide rear tyre(ofcourse i wud pay for it)

Hi Dustom_99

I can arrange for you a used Front or Rear Alloy for Maserati Quattroporte 20" for your project.
The tyre fittment will be 245/35 ZR20 for the front and 285/30 ZR20 for the Rear.
All the best

Hey thanks a lot,I would only require a rear alloy, that too only one for now.
The name "Maserati" spells trouble for my bank account! guess its going to be too expensive to egt even one 20incher.
Please Advice how much i would need to shell out if you are willing for a deal.
For now i have started the project with an 18incher 245,however it can be changed to a wider one.

Thanks again

@ferrariksa, nice to see some help coming dustom's way.

@ dustom 99, you must post more often seeking help. After all, mother feeds only the crying baby.

re: Project: Creating the world's fastest TurboDiesel Motorcycle! Road test video added

Gear ratios have been set as following-
1st gr-at 800 rmp (idle) = 11km/h
At 4000 rpm = 54km/h.
2nd gr - at 850 rpm =21km/h
At 4000 rmp = 99.7 km/h.
3rd gr - at 4000 rpm = 171 km/h
4th gr - at 4000 rpm = 224 km/h
5th gr = torque below critical value.

5th gr is currently redundant, it may be useful when we remap or use higher boost with remap.
On paper 5th gr wil propel the motorcycle to speed over 300kph ,but currently power isnt adequate to get above 240kph or so.

Acceleration figs (virtual sim)
0-100 kph = 5.2 secs
80-140 kph = 6.9 secs.
80-180 kph = 17.6 secs.
(Air drag at 0% headwind & rolling ressistance taken into account)
Losses due to squitting & suspention travel not considered , tyre-surface contact assumed to be infinite friction type.

Design of smallest possible swingarm is under way.

Thought of the bike used in Batman comes to me on reading this. It seems it will be of similar dimensions.
All the best...
Have you thought about the design? Post some sketches that would give us an idea.
