That Twin head looks like an imported Jawa 350, very rare bike in India. The Yezdi 350's have imported Jawa engines which were mated to Roadking frame.

The early Yezdi/Jawa's were not exactly 'loud'. My 1974 Type B is not loud, neither is my friend's 1970 Jawa. It is the new cheap tin exhausts which make them sound irritating.

Fantastic Stuff you put up there Lee, have some vague memories of seeing the bike posted in the Ad in Bangalore. Guess it was near a garage Opposite the Mosque adjacent to Vijaya College, RV Road.
Way back stuff when i was just graduating from Dad's Lambretta to a Rajyam

MYJ - the engine is from a Jawa 350 typ 360. Wonderfully restored and belongs to another Team-bhpian (Dominator). Yes, a very rare engine indeed in India.

As for the second part of your post, lucky you weren't saying that thing at the meet

Mysore is where the real action is IMHO. Look at the vast range of Yezdis!!! Hope there weren't any 'incidents' like last year's Bangy meet.

P.S. Punekars also need something like this!!!

I miss my Yezdi. :(

I remember the time when the neighbors had requested me to not drive the bike home at night because of its loud noise ( I had removed the end pipes).

I want to get one but no good bikes around anymore. I felt really happy after hearing about the meet at such a time.

Jawa / Yezdi Day

The International Jawa / Yezdi Day 2014 will be observed on Sunday with owners of these bikes taking out a vintage rally. These bikes were manufactured in Mysore and sold in India from 1960 till 1996 . The event will be flagged off from Shalini grounds in Jayanagar . Former chief minister S M Krishna will be the chief guest , a press release said.

Had a visit to this event today. I owned a Roadking from 1995 to 2012 before I sold it off to make way for my Duke. Here are few pics from the event.
From Jawa Nanna Jeeva (Jawa, my life in Kannada) event at Jayanagar. Could not take photos as it was on the side of the road and lotsa people around. And by the time we reached there, the event had already been completed and only a handful of bikes were around

Truly Fascinating Show ! Keep It Up !

Remembering my Dad too ! He loved riding his Jawa between Bombay and Indore !

and He once started his factory from scratch , and moved his first manufactured gears, securely packed on his first Jawa !
