@nkrishnap had this 16 BHP shogun for a couple of years. It came with a 5 speed gear box and disk brake. This bike was directly sourced from the TVS factory, I dunno how, u can ping him.

Disc Brake are you sure of this, do we have any pictures of this model.

And I knew there was 5 speed Samurai available in the ending days.

The Shadow did not have an expansion chamber. It did have the below config

- Cat con
- Front disc (single piston caliper)
- Programmable CDI
- 140 CC engine.
- The BHP was more than 16 for sure
- 5 Speed Gearbox

This bike was never launched commercially (Fiero was launched instead of Shadow). It was incredible fun riding this bike, though it was burning a big hole in the pocket (read fuel bills). Hence with a heavy heart sold it. Now it is being rebuilt for rally purpose.

manish are you by any chance referring to the Shaolin ? I quite don't remember about any model called the shadow from the TVS stables, I could be wrong though.

Shaolin was 5 speed bike out of Samurai, as long as I remember. Back then the magazine Indian Auto ran an article on 16 BHP version of Shogun with a Expansion Chamber.

Sadly I sold off all my old magazines and that's why the query.

I am sure your inbox is full with PMs with the parts now,

However the list you mentioned is a shogun builder's wet dream..

It may sound rude, but if you would have to put a price for the entire stash, what would be it?

I may be travelling to b'lore next weekend (29th) for a friend's POP @ Yelahanka airforce station, any chance we could meet up ??

Cheers & Thanks
Adi

The only other one I can think of is the TVS Supra which had 2 different bhp versions. The Supra's were rare to find and back then it was next to impossible to find one for sale. Here's a linky from an old post.

I remember reading it from Joel somewhere else, he had a first hand taste of the Shadow. Wish he could shed some light on it here..

Shogun is in for her 1st official service @ 1200kms.

Things broken so far
The front visor has a broken clamp
I broke the left side panel

Upgrades/changes being done
1.Victor GLX's box section swingarm

Missing the gun already, riding a loner RTR.
Cant belive that the RTR takes so much time to rev.. (though i used to ride a apache and RTR some time back & used to get wowed by how they revved so quickly..)
