Khabatki ghats ride Video :)

Went to khambatki ghats on Sunday with my pune biker gang(Rubber Smoking Angels)

The yellow ZMA in front is me

Though the ride was bumpy due to bad roads & traffic but It feels nice to see yourself on the VDO

The camera(Nokia 6630) was tied to the left RVM of a Pulsar 180 DTSi V1

you will need Real player to play this file.

Regards

Techno

Techno, downloaded and watched completed the video couple of times. Quality is excellent and reminded me of my couple of encounters with Khambataki. Once on a Bajaj Caliber (with friend) and then on my RX-135. Both the times, Khambaataki was total "paisa vasool"! I enjoy it in my Petra these days

Wow! Is this when you descend from Khambataki towards satara side? I am always scared of going fast downhill on our roads. Though I think you can do it from the tunnel to the toll gate. (barring that poorly banked turn).

@turbo_lover: satya knows me well & was pulling my leg :-) Most of the bikes had performance filters viz K&N & most of them were running with Pirellis at rear so were getting better banking angles than me :(

Mine was bone stock with bend mags(no impact on handling tho) bent handle, vibrating rear panel & the bike isnt serviced since last 2500 kms else everything was fine

@RX135: it was done one the way to mhabaleshwar. I get really scared in the tunnel, i enter as low as 60 & dare not to go above 100 because you never know when it has any oil or water splilled as its usddenly becomes dark inside :( but yeah after the tunnel its one mad ride till the toll booth :-)

powerslave, you dont have to go to Khambataki. You can go to Khandala/Khopoli/Bor Ghat. It will be lot of fun. Coming back to your question, it is around 70 km South of Pune. You can bypass Pune using DehuRoad-Katraj bypass.

Great videos. The pulsar does have vibe free RVMs and boy that phone just rocks.

Why were there boulders on the side of the road.

hi guys.. the cam is on my bike.. the mirrors r not totally vibe free as they get blurry at the redline.. and above 130 kmph it becomes almost impossible to figure out between a truck and a bike..
@mpower:: the boulders were there near the toll booth (bikes dont need 2 pay).. and later where the truck had broken down..
anyways im new to this site..good to see a clean site
