Anyone has faced this issue?
Just ensure that the cable is properly lubricated and doesn't have 90 degree or more tight bends between the accelerator and the carb.
Normally the cable snaps at the accelerator end. Perhaps, the newer cables with the L shaped steel guide would help things for you.

Yes, cable is having 90 degree bend at handle end and broke at this end every time.
Mine is the short handle bar model. Need to check, if newer cables with L shaped guide (like Japanese bike) suits the short length of old model.

It suits. The shape of handle bars dont affect the suitability, except for the length (The thuderbird/lightning/RD handle bars would need longer cables).
And FYI, these cables are OE parts from RE, not some random Japanese ones.
Infact, the initial batches of Thunderbird (AVL) suffered from acute clutch cable snaps, because of the same reason.

Congrats mate on the B500. This is the beauty of RE motorcycles it makes one come back to them again and again. I am sure you must have got an awesome deal on your 2009 CI Bullet 350 which happens to be the last batch of CI engines from RE.

Enjoy your B500 and keep posting your experiences.

Congratulations Vishal. Would be very useful if you could share your reasoning for selling away the CI and going with a UCE.
Cheers and happy riding..

Thank you Navin!
Yes I was getting good deals on CI however I decided to give it to a friend with no loss no profit deal.

Thank you Deepak!

Actually I sold CI 350 long back when I purchased Thar but kept this thread open because there was bullet somewhere in heart and I was sure that it will come back.

Selling CI was stupid impulsive decision. Now I feel that I could have kept it but no worry as it is replaced with better practical option and I am enjoying every bit.

"Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai... ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki saazish ki hai."

This iconic dialogue from Om Shanti Om perfectly captures what I felt — and still feel — about my Bullet.

Exactly a year ago, something magical happened. My beloved Bullet, which I had parted with back in 2013, found its way back to me. Thanks to a dear friend who had preserved it in its original glory for over a decade. True to his word, when the time came to let it go, he reached out to me first. I didn’t think twice — I brought it home that very moment.

I wasn’t planning to buy a bike. But this isn’t just a bike. It’s a time capsule of memories, a symbol of love. It was a birthday gift from my wife, purchased on 19th June 2009. Over the years, it carried me through countless unforgettable journeys — the most cherished being the Pune–Goa–Pune (The perfect dream – Pune To Goa on RE 350) ride with my wife, and the epic Pune–Bangalore–Pune Saddle Sore 1600K challenge.

Since its return, I’ve restored it to its original genes and now maintain it with the same passion it deserves. I don’t ride it every day, but every time I do — no matter the traffic or the road — it brings an unshakable smile to my face.

Here are the photos of the same bike, at the same spot, separated only by time — but connected by a lifetime of memories.

This is on the 19th June 2009
