Hero Honda launches the Refreshed Karizma R

Hero Honda has launched refreshed Karizma R with minor changes like

- New stickers
- MF battery
- New colors
- AFSF BS-III engine
- New silver stickers
- Belly reflectors
- Clear indicators
- New colour scheme on the dials
- Totally blacked out bottom part of the bike including the kick and the chain cover sans the rear spring and silencer.

Most importantly, new colors for the bike i.e force silver and white

No bump in specifications, but then didn't we already guess that.

See HH website.

Re: Hero Honda launched Refreshed Karizma R

I'm disappointed! they should have added new graphics on the Disk brakes as well as the rear view mirrors too!

Anyway HH thinks that this major upgrade is good for another 2 years or so I guess. Great going.Bah

hilarious way of venting it out!

Though its a sticker job, its still not making a difference from the older version. Its almost similar. So not sure why this upgrade was even necessary. But the 2 colors featured in the post are good. Specially the force silver!

HH thinks that if the strategy works in the 100cc segment, it should work in the premium segment too. Thankfully, people in the premium segment look further than new stickers and colors. Wonder when HH will invest in real R&D people instead of just hiring painting experts.

Atleast they should have given it rear disc brakes and LED tail lights? Also, why can't they give a projector headlamp?

Err, that belly reflector looks CHEAP!

This one does not come with rear discs?

I saw a CBZ extreme at the HH showroom with good looking gas charged rear shocks and a rear disc brake. Looked quite good.

Hilarious. Wonder what kind of market research these guys do and what they find out?

They should launch a naked version IMHO.

CBZ with rear disk breaks? I thought apart from ZMR only HH Hunk comes with those.

Yes, agree with you. I too felt HH Hunk looks good. Was/ Is checking out for a bike and personally felt ZMA was bit too overpriced, here in Bangalore on road price was quoted at 93K. If HH was giving a rear disk even as option it would have been great. ZMR looks I was impressed with, but then for 1.3 Lac onroad the only thing I wanted in that bike that ZMA doesnt was the disk breaks . As as Spitfire had seen the Hunk in showroom that day, the all black with disk break one looked good was thinking of giving it a second look this weekend. Only if HH came up with something else apart form the paint and sticker job for this refreshed karizma.

Actually I had gone to pick some spares for my CBZ. And this all black Hunk with rear disc and those gold coloured gas reservoir shocks attracted my attention. I spend about 30 mins checking the bike. And absolutely liked it.

And the best part, the stickering is minimal on this bike and I prefer it that way.

Personally if I need a midsize bike - daily commute. I could pick this one up.

Only issue is the name.

Personally the new ZMR is ugly.

PS: I am thinking of porting the swingarm, rear disc, rear suspension and alloys on my first gen CBZ. Time to make a cost and benefit analysis first.
