Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() KeyMaster at Andheri specialises in making duplicate keys for almost all cars. They even make remote keys and program them via the OBD port with the official tool used by the A.S.S of the respective manufacturer. I got my Honda Civic Remote key made from them and they were great. Very fast. Pros: Home service offered. Quick work Skilled labour Half the cost of the A.S.S with the same material and tools Cons: Crowded area Small shop (don't be fooled by it, though) Contact details: 9821980507 Address: Key Master, Near Shreedevi Hotel, Koldongri, Sahar Road, Andheri, Mum: 69. http://goo.gl/maps/6PO6D |

| ![]() What are the charges for each key? Do they have the OEM casing for the keys? Is remote locking unlocking flawless in the case of your Civic? |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() yes and yes. They have oem casings. I have posted photos of the same on my ownership thread.. Have a look. As for the remote, it's working flawlessly. No complaints whatsoever. They charge about 4k for Honda Civic and accord keys IMHO. |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Got a duplicate key made from key master today for my Civic.Opted for a non-remote and cost me 1200 bucks. Excellent service. They have two cutting machines and the OBD thingy to flash the key and program same. Great service.Only con is parking the car as it is pretty much a crowded and congested area. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() I just called the number right now and asked him about getting a dupe key for my Mercedes-Benz, but he said he can't do it and neither does he have any idea about where I can go to get one (other than the showroom, of course). I'm guessing he'll say the same about a BMW or Audi, but I didn't ask. Any idea if there's any aftermarket option for dupe luxury car keys? |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Has anyone tried getting their key replaced/ Repaired for any of their VAG group cars? Any heads-up would be appreciated. |

| ![]() Is there anyone who can install a start stop button in the car and have them work like the latest models. Does not seem to be that difficult a job - for the right amount of money. |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Making a duplicate key is a sensitive thing. There are multiple ways to make a duplicate key. If you already have all original keys, and just want to add one (as a spare when you loose one) then most of cars have learning feature (refer owners manual), don't need advance tools. Now, if you already have lost the key, the right procedure is to take copy of ID, RC and FIR and then make a duplicate key (method depends on key maker). If anyone does without any documentation then its very dangerous. The neighborhood guy is cheaper for many reasons. I do not want to specify here. I will recommend, getting a blank key yourself (buy online across globe), learn it yourself (before you loose any key) and get it cut at local guy then store it. | ![]() A much overdue visit to Key Maker. The place is very congested and spotting the shop was harder than spotting a star on a cloudy night. I had to call him multiple times to find the correct address. Mr.Pintu is a very courteous and nice fellow and never tried to mislead me. I got my i20 remote shell and battery replaced. The body casing is priced at 1000 rs and remote cell is for 100 bucks. Also bought silicon shell cover for the remote for 150rs. As Frankmehta has already pointed out, the service was very quick and they finished the work in less than 10 minutes. I checked the remotes and its working kle a charm. Total damage to pocket was 1300 rs (he gave 50 rs discount) compared to 27000 rs the hyundai service centre guys had quoted for the same job. He doesn't make duplicate keys for Audi Mercedes and BMW. As for the flippy keys he quoted 1k to 1.5k. Overall a very good experience and i would recommend his service to everyone. You can contact him on www.pintukeymaker.com for further queries. ![]() |
