I got my Manza's exteriors detailed yesterday from Motoshines. Sanket was a nice chap to talk with. He offered basic interior cleaning and dashboard polishing as complimentary. I got my car back on promised time. Overall, I was satisfied with the job done that costed me 2.5k. Here are some pics taken with my phone cam in the workshop.

Went to Motoshines today for the long pending car wash.

Positives:

Quite customer centric
The attention to detail is much better than other usual places.
An exterior wash with basic interior vacuum, wipe was charged at 450/-.
Nice cozy place to sit while you can browse thru the accessories placed in there.

Negatives:

Sadly, they do NOT do underbody wash. It would have been great to have a one stop shop for all.

Overall, a good place and I am definitely going back for a polish session.

It was pure coincendence to meet the thread creator itself there. Raj, thanks a lot for the company and the tips.

Took my cousins 8 year old swift for interior detailing and a exterior wash. Results were very good. The car had never been given such a treatment before and the interiors were really dirty. Having 2 kids does mess up the interiors.

The team did a splendid job and i am happy to report that the quality has not gone down. Met another bhpian over there with his beautiful palio.

Time taken was a little less than 3 hours and full value for money.

My review Of Motoshine:

Car: Audi Q5 (3years old)

Paint Quality Prior to detailing: The paint quality was average considering the car wasn't detailed even once. But there were a number of hairline scratches and swirls.

Called Motoshine for an appointment and opted for the Platinum Shine Package. I got a deal for Rs4600 by Mr. Sanket, I was told that It would take 4 hours. My Laura was detailed by Motoshine last year.

Positives:
- Result is fantastic
-Value for money
- Attention to detail is excellent. As the owner Rugved is always present it does make a difference in the work delivered!
- Quality of products used is good

Negatives:
- Although there aren't many, I wish they included a paint sealant in this package.
- Would've preferred if they had a foam gun to apply soap to the car instead of using a bucket.
-No under body washing bay or provision (Suggestion: Buy something like this)

Just cross-posting what I put up on my thread as an addition to this one.

I gave the Jetta in today for an interior and exterior detailing session, with a paint sealant added into the mix. I'm no Daboo Ratnani, but I'll try to let these photos do the talking.

They missed a few spots, which they got done as soon as I pointed it out, but on the whole I was quite happy with the job done. Great VFM and the car stepped out looking spanking new, with that beautiful glossy, glassy finish only a darker colour can provide.

The package I opted for also provides another paint sealant treatment after 6 months (or earlier if I wish), so I expect this feel-good factor to continue I'd recommend Motoshines for sure.

My polo GT TSI is about a month old and want some treatment that will protect the paint.

The guy who washes my car does a real sloppy job and i have seen some real small scratches in the clearcoat on the bonnet and the roof.

Today I found a scratch which has been deliberately done by hand, while parked inside the building compound, as the angle and pattern cant have been a vehicle, definitely someone from my building.

Anyway long story short I visited the 3M shop at Worli and the guy there says that the scratch is past the clearcoat and that they cant fix it.

He says that the paint protectant sealant treatment will "lighten" the scratch.

Normal paint shops use a rubbing compound and remove such scratches, wonder why 3m cant do it.

So my questions are

1. Rubbing compound would remove the clearcoat and is that why they don't want to do it for a new car?

2. From what i figured out the exterior treatment is the same for both old and new cars except that the treatment that they do for old cars (trizact) is that they sand the car as well. Is this correct

3. Is it worth the cost and effort? Would a regular wax polish each month help more?

I have had 3m treatments done from linkway honda in the past for my civic and to be honest i have not found a great difference in the before and after ( My car is white in color so i guess a more profound difference would be in darker colored cars?)

Also would consider motoshines, as when i visited the worli 3m and one of their guys parked my car, and when i left the place i found he had fiddled with the ac setting and changes the music source from the SD card to the USB and obviously was listening to music. This one act has made me trust them a little less

Got an exterior and interior polishing done for my Palio. It was long long due and after 2 years of laziness and postponing (due to one reason or the other).

Took the car there and was greeted by a new person (forgot his name, he can be seen in one of the pics) as Sanket is no longer working with them. As usual, the communication & treatment is warm and no complaints about that.

My car was subjected to the nature's elements and I did my part to screw it further - had parked my car under a tree for 1 week and couldn't wash off the bird poo on the bonnet. By the time I had taken it for a good wash, the damage was done and I was told the acidity in the bird poo has already cut through the paint and it's a permanent damage (though the effect can be minimalised).

The car was left at the shop at 12.30 and I was told it'll be ready by 5-6 PM and promptly got a call at 5 that the work was completed. Overall, I am happy - they have done a good job within their limitations. I have been cursing myself for not being pro-active to have got the bird poo cleaned. There were a lot of swirls on the car also due to the regular joe washing techniques.

Since I was in touch with these guys for a long time for getting this job done, I managed to get it done at a discounted price than the current one and hence wouldn't be able to share it. Please do get in touch with the team to know the rates for your requirement.

Good :

• Nice & warm communication
• Good staff
• Have a decent lounge
• Cost effective

Bad:

• They charge an additional 2% on card transactions
• No provision for under body cleaning.

Hope the pictures are decent enough to make out the difference.

Edit:: For those who wonder about their clientele, when I reached Motoshines, there was a white Audi A4 getting washed. Was told it belonged to a doctor and was regular at the place.

Dude, we met last August when you had got your Palio for a wash and you got it detailed NOW . Hope the bird poo marks are not easily visible now. Please maintain the shine since your Palio's color is just splendid.

I'll be there post monsoon, so hopefully we can catch up in Sept, again

Well, the bird poo issue happened before that. From the last Apr, my Palio is fortunate to have a covered parking where I stay. It's not too bad or visible to the regular joe, but then, we have a higher standard right?!

I have recently been to Motoshines after reading some really good reviews here. Mr Rajesh Agarwal is a thorough professional and has a good hold on all his employees. This was a sore point at 3M Andheri West. Also, being the reason for shifting to them. I had booked an appointment for saturday, but had to go to Pune for some urgent work. He obviously and promptly followed up and we rescheduled it for sunday. So I reached there last sunday around 12 PM and being a long weekend, there was no other car. This I felt was a major advantage, because they could give undivided attention to my Duster. Very professional in their apporach, they did a brilliant job on the exterior as well as interiors and also ozonized the cabin to get rid of mouldy smell that had gotten developed over the previous few days. The polishing products and equipment used are top notch and the effect has to be really seen in person. I also managed to discount the offered price a bit, but would not be able to share it here, as Mr. Agarwal requested to keep it confidential. All in all, I'm one happy customer who is going to go there every 2-3 months, unless they drift the 3M way. I'm sharing a few pictures of the job. Mr. Agarwal also happens to be a importer and distributor for Kenda Tyres. Just thought of mentioning.
