Hi-Tech automotive seat covers - Malad West, Mumbai

Products sold:

All types of seat covers, range starts from Rexine type leather and goes all the way up to genuine leather.

Services offered:

Adding leather/art seat covers to your existing cloth type seat cover.
Custom Fit - This is their speciality. They remove the existing cloth type seat covers and stitch the leather covers to the seat foam (what I got done to my vehicle). Giving an excellent fit and finish, I can even say I found the fit and finish even better than some OEM suppliers.

What I like:

They work on all types of cars. From a humble Maruti Alto 800 to BMW/Audi/Mercedes.

They can custom make designs according to your likes, if you don’t end up liking anything from their catalogue.

Huge workshop, proper parking space.

During my visit, there was a VW Passat first gen, Skoda Kodiaq, Audi Q3 and a Toyota Land Cruiser getting their interiors done.

What I don't like:

Not open on Sundays. That's the only day I get for car-related stuff.

Pricing:

Prices start from 4k for a WagnoR and can even go up to 6 figure range for genuine leather.

What I got done:

Got my Creta’s cloth type seat cover changed to Aristo Leather (from their catalogue). I went in for the custom fit, i.e. the existing cloth seat covers were removed and the new choice of leather will be stitched to the seat foam. They even have an option of memory foam. Don’t know how it works though.

I find the seats tad bit more supportive after getting the work done.

Cost:

I paid 18k for the seat covers (Aristo type) & 3.5k for the custom fit.

Thanks for sharing! From the pics, the work certainly looks top class. And great choice too . I love the black + brown combination.

Re: Hi-Tech automotive seat covers - Malad West, Mumbai

It's been year since I got the seat covers installed and it was high time that the leather needed some TLC.

Decided to order a leather conditioner.

Link - https://www.amazon.in/Sch%C3%BCtzen-Leather-Conditioner-Protectant-250/dp/B01M02EI20/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1QEFJCP0RPXVF&keywords=leather+con ditioner+shoes&qid=1585481146&sprefix=leather+cond %2Caps%2C264&sr=8-3

It was absolutely worth it, very simple to use and lasts up-to a month.
The seats look as good as new now and feels softer too.
All in all money well spent.

Some snaps post the conditioning.

I am planning to get seat covers for my Polo GT which is now 6 years old. Any recent experience with Hi-Tech?

GTO, any recommendations for car seat covers in central/south Mumbai? Looking for leatherette options assuming leather would be too expensive. Plan to not spend more than 10-15k on this.

My experience with the dealers at opera house hasnt been very good.

Had given one of my Hondas to Sabharwal at Opera house for seat covers a few years ago - was happy with the fit and finish.

Gave my TUV300 to the same chap a few months ago and was disappointed with the poor quality fit and finish.

My thoughts are irrespective of the material used (which is where the price varies) the stitching and the fit has to be good else its a waste of money. So whether its a Maruti 800 or a BMW, whether its the most expensive material they have or the cheapest, I would expect the stitches to be neat and the fitting to be top class and in this particular area the chaps at Opera house don't seem to have any consistency.

They take orders and outsource the stitching to some random guy somewhere who comes to the shop and then does the fitting.

Re: Hi-Tech automotive seat covers - Malad West, Mumbai

I have ordered seat covers from Hi-Tech for my Venue SX Plus DCT, fabric seats are painful to maintain even in all black color.

I paid 12k for Nappa() Sports material in all black color with red stiching and has pyramid type pattern.

Will post pictures post fitment.
