If it is performance you are looking at, it is good to replace the complete exhaust system with a free flow one.

Yes i'm starting with just the end can, looking at upgrades for the entire FFE system including headers only in the next year or so (planning to spread it across a few months at least). Like you mentioned, looking at getting that low and thumpy sound rather than that - mad and out of control hooligan scream- from the exhaust. Will ask automech about the packing and mock up trial to check the sound before they do any welding.
