Radiators - Lawrence Radiators (Mumbai)

Products sold:
  • Everything to do with Radiators. For cars, tractors, trucks, buses, industrial machinery etc.
Services offered:
  • Heavy-duty radiators built to your requirements (OEM or custom)
  • Radiator installation
What I like:
  • Radiator specialists. No one builds radiators like Lawrence. Over 4 decades of experience
  • Full-fledged production unit. Builds them himself and entirely in-house
  • Offers OEM replacement units as well as custom solutions. Example : He measured the available space in my Jeep's engine bay, and then built a radiator that's 2 sizes larger than stock. High flow + excellent cooling
  • Quality of material is better than OEM. Uses copper & brass in construction. Has a huge (export) clientèle too. The first Lawrence radiator I bought lasted 7 years in my Jeep (despite muck, driving through water and harsh abuse)
  • It's fun to see them build your radiator. Took 2.xx hours flat for the one in my Jeep. I was present through the entire process
  • Professional organisation. They deliver. Friendly people too
What I don't like:
  • Zilch
Pricing: Slightly expensive. If you want quality, you'll have to pay for it

Speciality / USP: Can build a pro-grade radiator for anything

What I have bought from him: 2X Jeep radiator (in 2003 & 2009), 1x Honda radiator (in 2009)

Tip: If you don't want to travel, and are looking for an OEM replacement, give him a call, place the order and have it picked up. For custom solutions though, you will either have to take the vehicle there (for measurements) or send him your existing (old) radiator

Re: Radiators - Lawrence Radiators (Mumbai)

Hi GTO,

Nice to hear that you had a good experience at Lawrence radiators. Sadly, I can't say the same.

I used Lawrence radiators quite a few years ago when I was having over -heating issues with my Gypsy King. They built me an entire new radiator - I was in the workshop from 11.00 a.m. till 20.00 when they finally finished the job - with copper coils for about Rs. 5000/= and guaranteed it would solve the over heating problem. It never did. When I went back a couple of days later and told the boss guy that the same problem existed he did not want to know. Claimed the temperature gauge needle was at least 2 mm lower on the scale than when I brought the car in!! (The temperature gauge was still more than 75%). Tried writing an official letter - no response. They stopped taking my calls. Finally I gave up and reverted back to the original radiator. A totally bad experience and I would never, ever recommend them to anyone.

Regards,
SS
