Its funny how cops operate. Till about 2 years back, my Jeep wore pitch black film all around. Not once in the 5 years that she had the film did any cop pull me over.

Just checked my warranty card. Its the K.14 shade.

Yup. Funny & WEIRD. they dont go by any law book created ! they good by a simple word we term as "mood" . Sometimes if they want to trouble you, they can literally catch you for no rhyme or reason ! even if you havnt committed any mistake at all !

hi GTO,
I have installed in my cars, the eco version of the Vkool, except for the front screen its serves the purpose well in our summers and with 70% heat reduction, I was impressed with the outlet's service and turn around time (with a fab 15% discount) and the standard 5 year warranty. However, i thought it prudent to check with you as the address posted mentions opp. ravindra natya and the VKool outlet i installed from was opp the Mercedes showroom next to century bhawan? is it the same owners or have they shifted recently ?? they had also mentioned to me that the first outlet at SV rd, Santacruz opp the Nanavati hospital..thanks

Spot on! The eco version does a fairly good job. I didn't really notice any difference between this, and the top variant (which is insanely priced IMO!).

Same outlet. I guess their lease expired and they moved to the Ravindra Natya Mandir location.

Went to this shop today and got Vkool T35 installed on my Punto. They did a great job removing the useless garware film I had earlier and the Vkool was installed well. It took 3.5 hours and I would recommend this place highly to anyone.

Vkool makes great sense since the economy range film is exactly the same price as the middle versions of 3M and Llumar and Vkool has the best name in the business.

Also GTO when they showed me the demo, there seemed to be a big difference between the economy and higher versions in terms of heat reduction.

I got vkool Elegant 76% Silverblue from them, costed 7000 bucks (Sides and rear), But there are some problems like few lines have started to appear i.e the film seems to have not applied properly, will be going back to them next week. but will recommend the place, its better to be at the place during the installation.

Can you guys please put up costs as well? For sedans.

I'm also looking for a clear film for front glass. The OHC had llumar and i10 has 3M.

Llumar was not effective at all (paid 4500 for front clear film). 3M is average.

For normal sized sedans it would cost around 5.7k. The front windscreen is between 7k-9k for the medium 90% heat rejection series if I remember correctly.

Re: Sunfilm - Vkool (Prabhadevi, Mumbai)

Guys, I know this is a VCOOL thread but I wanted to know about the cops behavior towards 35%VLT. Got 3M SP35 installed on side and rear by EVO Bangalore, they did a great job of removing the almost fully faded garware tints done 18 months ago,

I was wondering about how the cops react here in mumbai.

Re: Sunfilm - Vkool (Prabhadevi, Mumbai)

Friends, I am looking for V Kool tints for my Punto. Where should i go??? I am looking for an authorised Vkool outlet where i can be sure of an original film & neat installation. I stay in powai.

Do we have any other V kool authorised outlets in mumbai?

I spoke to Mr. Sahni & he is quoting a price of Rs. 6500 for T35 & K37 budget tints for my punto which i feel is slightly on the higher side, compared to 3M (Rs. 4000). Heat rejection is the same in both. I dont mind spending around 1000 bucks extra for V Kool though.

He is also willing to do the installation at my door step. is that recommended?

I paid 5500 for my Accord and 45/4600 for my Punto. So please do some negotiating.

The best thing would be to get it installed in their shop, since no dust can go in.

EDIT - Checked my bill. 4500 for Punto, you should pay the same.

Re: Sunfilm - Vkool (Prabhadevi, Mumbai)

Its time to get some sunfilm for my Cruze. I thought i can wait until late Feb but, the summer seems to have set in already in Hyderabad.

Akshay, any tips on how much a VKOOL ( RE 35) for the Cruze will set me back by?

Appreciate inputs on shade and pricing for VKOOL and other brands.

T35 would be the equivalent to RE35. I paid 5500 for my Accord after discounts so for the Cruze it should be equal or less. 3M will be around Rs. 500 cheaper, but IMO Vkool makes more sense since it is installed very well, and has better heat rejection.

Then why did he quote 6500 for me?

Thanks akshay, I shall negotiate with him.

OT: Price not withstanding, would you recommend the 3M RE35 or the V Kool T35? As you know, its for a white punto.

Thanks! So 5K is the range that I should be looking at if its Vkool or 3M.

This goes into my tasks-do this month.
