anyways i will try to bring down the cost and try for 9.5L or so if now the new W6 |
Definetely new one. The higher rate of interest is not worth it. Try to get sbi loan. The Executive here at bangalore was playing around with the quote and almost got me 95% loan. So if you can stretch your budget and loan options get a w8.

Hi, pardon my lack of technical knowledge, the mechanic who attended said "suspension".
This is what is mentioned in the pre-invoice - "MCPHERSON STRUT ASST LH TC1". Part No 0401BAA05441N.
Amount column left blank as its under warranty. Is this a critical part? The mechanic mentioned that the new vehicles are very sturdy and this is very very rare issue.:):uncontrol |
Please ask the rm what exactly is the problem that required a replacement of the suspension and post it here
At the risk of sounding like a noob, can someone please explain what are the specs of the rear wiper for the XUV500? And any idea where I can order them online??
With monsoon hitting us, can any AWD owner put a video as to how the AWD performs in slush? Maybe sand etc as well.
I have seen Anshuman's video of the Leh region, but it was short and couldn't make much of it.
Thanks
My XUV 500 had its 1st Service today (5000kms).
Engine oil and Filter was changed. Total Bill was Rs. 3000.
The dealer convincing me to go for Extended warranty and RSA for 5 years. He says its useful, since the extended warranty covers major parts like Engine(incl Turbo, Oil pump etc), Gearbox, A/c Cooling Coil. He says that the cost of these parts are high and so its better to opt for this extended warranty. You guys think its advisable to take the RSA totally for 5 years (2+3 years) for Rs. 4000?

What your SA is saying true, parts of XUV are expensive from what other members have quoted earlier. Hence it may make sense to get an extended warranty.
However I guess you understand that extended warranty and RSA are two different packages, warrenty rates were quoted by few members earlier. It is in range of 20K (
link )
RSA though cheaper I guess depends on your driving conditions, if you drive out of town mostly and unfortunately vehicle dies far from a M&M center you may end up paying more than the 3 years Rs.4000 quote for RSA.

What's the logic having different PSI for front and rear?
Shouldn't all be same?

I think due to the engine front is heavier than the back and hence front tyres are given more air.
Had given the vehicle for second free service last week at Anant cars, Bangalore. They have started charging for vehicle pick up and drop now. The RM mentioned that the instructions have come from Mahindra & not the service center. If the pick up & drop distance for a scheduled service is above 10 kms one way, then a fee of Rs.300 would be collected. All service centers in Bangalore are easily over 10 kms from my residence. I am compelled to switch to another service center, probably India garage in whitefield, which is closer to my office.
