The initial booking phase, incl mine, which was done on 30th sept, they had asked us to pay 10k. But the next day, I was called and asked to pay 40k more. I think that was the case with most. All 10k bookings were changed to 50k bookings.

Suggest you check with the dealer again. We had all paid 50k. I hope they have processed your booking.

Hello JeepSomeday, I am also a XUV W8 FWD owner since November and have so far driven it almost 4400km, I am experiencing this "khat khat" sound from the RHS tyre/suspension since the begining, it only comes if you take a right hand corner hard, so you hear it rarely in the normal city AtoB. But, at Christmas I took the car to Kufri, and while on the hilly sweeping road, it was almost constant khat khat every time I turned.

That time it seemed like that one of the bolts on the RHS tyre was loose, but upon my return I called up the RM and showed him the problem, he took the car to the service station and told me that one of the bolts was indeed loose. However, after a day, I again noticed the same "khat Khat", and I think it never got rectified. Since then I have again called my RM and he has assured me this time he will come with a Mahindra XUV technician. He has promised to come tomorrow, I hope he is able to understand the root cause of the problem and sort it.

Have you got any idea what is the cause and have you got it fixed?

Even I deposited 10K initially but after a week got a call from Mahindra to confirm the booking and was asked to deposit balance 40K ASAP to the dealer.

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

Even I deposited 10k initially on 3rd October, thereafter I was asked to pay up another 30k so in total 40k, however since I got my XUV much before the promised date of 7th January, they never got around asking me to pay the remaining 30k as a booking amount and instead was settled by the final payment itself.

Re: Mahindra XUV500 : Test Drive & Review

Can we get our XUVs serviced with Mahindra firstchoice in Chennai under warranty? I somehow doubt the dealer's service efficiency here. Anybody have any idea or experience with it?

As I know, there are designated service centres for XUV. Only one service centre of India Garage in Bangalore is authorized to service XUV. Each dealer might have one each I believe.

No you cannot service at Mahindra First choice. You need to go to India Garage only.

Thank you all for your feedback. I checked with the dealer and M&M and my booking is alright. I'll wait for further instructions from the dealer/M&M on the delivery status.

Looks like Mahindras are trying ease the pain caused by the niggles.

A nice gesture.

You might want to put it up here: http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/shifti...bhpian-65.html

There might be a few BHPians interested.

Sorry for going OT.
