In that case, if this is hydraulic, i wonder what would have happened if mahindra tried to plant in an electric one.

Thanks vaibhavdalal for the consolidated list. I have taken the liberty to convert it to a google doc. So now anyone can update the document using the following link:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...kc2WFdEVlp2ZlE

You would need a google ID to edit the spreadsheet.

Wind and Vaibhav,
If it doesnt work that way, let me know, I shall try to put it on skydrive, I guess I should be able to leave it open for everyone without requiring gmail or any other account.

Hi TBHPians,

Am making further posts in Issues & Niggles thread (Original source) .

I believe it wont be appropriate to do a cross post as any Owner / prospective Owner will need to go through more than 1 thread.

According to the sales person, this prioritized booking will end by 18th April and fresh bookings will start from 15th May depending on the response to this prioritized booking. In my opinion, M&M should see about 40% - 50% return of their "unlucky lottery" customers return for a booking. To service the 50% of the 17000, they will need only 2 months considering their production capacity of 4000 per month. So, a 15th May booking with a promise of delivery within 3 - 4 months makes sense.
On a different note, do you folks think that this prioritized booking scheme is "customer friendly" or plain "business realities" with the impending launch of Ertiga and Toyota's increase in production capacity, recently?
Had beent to SKS Auto in Bangalore
- The sales exec was giving a similar view as above - Mahindra plans to open bookings, for general public, from end of this month or from the first week of May.
- He also said the delivery schedule should be 2-3 months from May booking, at Mahindra's current production capacity and expected demand.

On a parallel note, I took a test drive , the sales exec wasn't too keen on giving a long test drive, it was a short 3KM ride, couldn't really get a proper feel of the vehicle. I guess thats their attitude now, since bookings aren't open, hoping to get a proper test drive(s) when bookings open.

Test drives on the XUV have been traditionally short ones, and you are lucky to get one when the books are not available, in Mumbai it is difficult to convince the dealers for one.

22nd was a Sunday, so was expecting a call at least today. Waited patiently for the entire day before finally calling up Kundan Motors around 5 pm. The sale manager called up M&M and confirmed that I should expect a call on 25/26th April.

First promise not kept. -1 to Kundan Motors!
