Has anyone had a chance to see the new navigation unit?
Is it for real? Please post photographs?
I request members planing to visit Renault showrooms to inquire about this and try to post photos.

Been to a showroom in Vashi yesterday. They have been trained in the features regarding the touchscreen unit is what they say. I got more info from the post posted yesterday by a fellow bhpian . They have not been yet communicated about the price impact. And they are not sure when these company fitted HU lots will be delivered.

Some Pics of the trip to Nainital....:)

We seem to have exported the Duster mania to the UK.
According to this article in Indian Autos Blog, there is now a five month waiting period in the UK for the Duster.

- And there is apparently a bare-bones petrol model doing good numbers too!

I hope the new HU doesn't cost too much and can be fitted to the older Dusters. And also hope they have some buy back plan for the existing HUs

Awesome. Is this the duster or your photography skills?

Do your fog-lamps light up the road? Ask this because the ugly bull-bar positioning is such.

And bull-bars aren't safe, for more dope, please read more about it here and here

Thanks

Hi,

The engine immobilizer light is blinking on our Duster 85 RXL after the engine is turned off. The blinking does not stop.

We checked with the dealer and they say this is normal. But wont this drain the battery?

Really appreciate if anyone could confirm if this blinking is normal.

Snaps are excellent. Duster is glowing.... lighting is fantastic.

Regarding the "bull bars": Most of the developed nations banned bull bars. Some of the OEMs supplying bull bars as accessory as such those are not directly fitted with frame, it is just for aesthetic.

While I was booking my duster, the dealer was keen in selling the after market bull bars and the TD vehicle was fitted with a sample piece. The dealer will get high margin of profit for marketing such cheap items. Please avoid bull bars if you care for your safety, one can add bumper-to-bumper insurance if he/she cares for bumper, that is cheaper than bull-bars.

Thanks ssmani for the links. clap: I don't know, how many eye openers I am going to find in this forum. :Cheering: Indeed, I was planning to fit a bull bar after getting delivery of Duster. But, now I dropped that plan.

This is perfectly normal. I also was worried but then noticed that it is common. It shows that immobiliser is doing its job.

The last one, lose the bull bar and the Duster will look as stunning as the picture itself.

Though, I still haven't caught the bug, my wife is head over heels over the Duster. And a brown one at that. And she hasn't even sat in one till now. Now, I fully understand why compact SUV is the next big thing to hit India after hatchbacks.

Those are nudge guards. I am attaching a picture of fellow member Godfather's erstwhile Tata Safari.

Those are mostly made of hard plastic and aren't bolted onto the chassis.

Hello Sheel, almost 90% of my driving is in the city..So to avoid the rickshawalas (ample of them in Gurgaon), bikers to get onto the rear bumper, I opted for the bull bars. And yes I did not think about the fog lamps, but realized it after the bull bar was installed :( no choice was left after that, but to live with it :(
