Wow I like the Headlights and especially the roof rail.
But I doubt that this year duster will get another face lift as it just got one.

No they did not. Actually the issue started recently, i.e. much after 2nd service.

Has Renault come out with above fix? If so I'll try to get it done soon.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

OK just back from my second free service at trident renault bangalore. I don't know what to feel about the service-

-they didn't give me detailed bill, said job card is not opening due to some issue, so billed me 6.5k and said they would be emailing me the details.

-They have glazed the engine, looks good but I had not instructed them. Don't know what they have billed for the same.

-They said they will look into the Tyre warranty. They have replaced it with the spare Stepney. (I doubt they will do anything. The SA said it looks like a stone hit and won't be covered in warranty)

-the tail pipe spoiler was not even cleaned one bit, I'm appalled at their quality of wash (though monsoons on so the vehicle would be dirty anyways)

-there's a strange noise from the right rear shock absorber from day one of the purchase and they haven't been able to fix it even after two services. They say they need two days for this! (I can't spare two days. I drove 400 kms to and fro to service the car and took a day off, can't do two days, I've told them this but they are insisting)

-after the service I was leaving when I noticed the next service was not reset. I asked the SA to do it and he said that their tool was out of order and they would do out the next time! (I was shocked! How could they service the 25 odd cars without the OBD?I'm sure it gives out more important readings than just the service intervals! )

The SA was extremely polite though and declined even I when tried to tip him.

But scope for lots of improvement guess. How's the experience for other bangalore owners? I used the one near Raja Rajeshwari one as it's nearer to me from NH4..

On a side note, the duster is growing on me. Initially I detested all it's short comings, but now have come to appreciate a lot of things about it. And it is beautiful and feels tough, now that feeling was missing in my swift Dzire.

Where do you find the next service option? Does the Mid display that?

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Renault has unveiled Renault Duster Oroch, a Duster based pickup truck. Looks good, but sadly only for South American market.

Yes in the MID it hows a reverse count down to the next service in 100kms slabs. The last 1000 kms to the 10k service it showed up first every time the ignition was switched on and then i had to manually change to the display i wanted (which was needless to say quite irritating). At exactly 10k kms the service display went to displaying for _ _ _ _ + the wrench sign ( i serviced the vehicle at about 10,200kms. Now the display is stuck at _ _ _ _ + the wrench sign for every ignition start because they didn't reset it.

Re: Renault Duster : Official Review

Any kind of in car warning for the service is irritating for me. Humans are brilliant enough to remember a recurring activity for every 10K. Based on the "modern" warning techniques, I feel its nothing but a technique to get the customers back to the dealer than a reminder.

Thanks @divyankar . I don't have many mods in my mind .
Getting Napa art leather seat covers done from imperial leather this week .
Might update the Speakers at a later stage to Polk / infinity front components and coaxial rear speakers . As of now everything seems adequate

Okay..
I felt that stock bulbs are inadequate so I upgraded low beams to HIDs, but after yesterday's drive in heavy rain I feel that I need to upgrade high beam as well.
Also according to me wind noise and door thud has been drastically improved in 2015 Model. What’s your take on this?

Yes there is an overall improvement in the NVH due to better sound insulating materials used, but nothing drastic . For example, check the sound insulating material used inside the fenders through the gap when you open front door next time, they're different for AWD (from 2014) and 2015 (2wd) models. The wind noise however stays the same. The better sounding door thud probably comes from a tighter door lock/latch system. The quality of metal remains the same.
